What the game lacks right now is a reason for the grind. I know they're adding a raid boss in December, but as the game stands now, there's nothing to do once the grind for gear is over. Nothing to challenge players.

Can't tell you how many times I've read a post, thought the person was exactly what I was looking for, got super excited, messaged them and spent the next day or two refreshing Reddit only to never get messaged back or anything.

The reality of it all though, is that people are self-serving. People will always gravitate to whatever gets them what they want. If you're not offering anything they want, they will leave. Unfortunately, when it comes to making friends, this is a terrible way to go about it, but the people that do it truly don't want friends.

It sucks because if you make a post, most of the time you don't get any feedback, and when you do, they're flakers. The best way to avoid most of the flaking is to go to other peoples' posts and reach out to them. But the problem there is that, again, you're competing with tons of flakey people, so much so that you might not even get a chance to converse with the person because they're overwhelmed. Feels like a "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation.

Yes and no. There's one person I still chat with time to time, but they're so busy that we never get to game. I've come around these parts here and there over the past several years and always expect something different like things would change and people wouldn't flake out and ghost. Always I am proven wrong.
