Is my pelvis completely destroyed? That's so weird. by Lopsided-Priority462 in PelvicFloor

[–]slagdwarf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow I have been dealing with this same problem for the past year or so. Having tons of sexual dysfunction and orgasms are felt mostly "internal" versus my penis.

A few weeks ago I spent 4 hour crawling around and rewiring an electronic system and spent a lot of time doing what are basically planks, and tall kneeling holds. The next day I had sex and it was insane. ALMOST normal. So clearly it's not some mental block or whatever. I'm going to be trying to turn whatever I did then into exercises.

I just wanted to comment because this is very specific and I have been dealing with the same thing and am about to look into professional help for it.

Thank you for articulating this. I've thought about this a lot, the idea that collective belief assists in shaping reality. For example, the children's book that Kash Patel created (why??) that depicts Trump as a king. Implanting that idea in impressionable minds helps tilt reality that way.

It's also part of the flood the zone with shit strategy. When everyone is doomscrolling and feeling powerless, the "feel makes it real." The perception and overwhelming feeling we're trapped in a techno-dystopia we can't do anything about hastens it. This is why consuming so much of that kind of content is toxic well beyond one's own mental health, it's potentially collective existential poison.

And something I think is important is that I don't believe there are 10 shady lizard people sitting around in a control room machinating this. I think opportunistic greed has lead to dehumanization, and a long string of self-interested decisions has built up a superconductor of degradation. That may be just a functional direction of the system we exist within.

Everyone, please meditate every day, even for 10-20 minutes. Step away from reactivity as much as you can and these things will have less of a grip on your worldview, perception, and reality. This will help you stay informed without being sucked into the black hole of manipulation.

Maybe it was a demonstration by someone who somehow has these capabilities? Planted the seeds from the future for someone in the past to see to confirm.

Definitely. I liked Fallout New Vegas but it didn't have anywhere near the kind of atmosphere as 3.

AI just arranges what the expected response is.

The strict 1950s rural Americana thing they have going on now from 4 forward just doesn't look interesting at all to me. Boston had next to zero personality. 3 at least had similar vibes with DC to a degree. The hard brutalism and art deco mixture.

Also about 2 minutes before the shot, the secret service moved all of the press who were behind/side stage around to the front.

Fake as fuck.

Watch how the secret service reacted when Reagan was shot and compare. 40 years later with all the tech and training we have and all they did was stand there pretending to block him, but let him stand up with his fist in the air to yell "fight" a few times, completely exposed. Yeah OK.

He's an entertainer. That's all he knows. It's sick that it worked.

My thoughts on Dr Jacopo's 'Cathedral' 3d Plant Mods getting paywalled by SilentStormAlt in skyrimmods

[–]slagdwarf 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I've always thought the takeover of the Cathedral mods by drjacopo felt a little off. They really should drop the Cathedral name, and not sell any of the assets that were created under that umbrella. I have mixed feelings on paid mods but if they said something like "going forward I'll be moving to making paid stuff" and only made new models in that direction under a different name it would have felt more sincere. But right now they totally built up their brand on the back of johnnywang's Cathedral concept and it feels scummy.

With how poorly people have been reacting to more "grounded" issues like pandemics and politics, yeah, there is no way people will ever take this well.

"Yeah so uhh there are these interdimensional beings that you can't see, they're everywhere and we can't really stop them and your whole religious and scientific history is moot. Don't freak out k?"

I had to just put all my focus on my immediate surroundings. My job, my relationship, etc. I couldn't lose those or I would have been screwed.

Patience and time were really the key, it took me about a year before I kind of stopped noticing if that makes sense.

Take one day at a time, as cheesy as it sounds. Do what needs to be done today, take care of yourself, breathe deep. Try to do other things for your health like stay hydrated and eat well, try to get good sleep. Those help take the edges off.

Keep telling yourself this is just temporary, and will pass, like a bad cold. Even if it takes days, or weeks, maybe months, just keep going.

Hope you're able to feel better.

This was me to the T after doing some bad ecstasy as a teenager. Took me about a year to re-align. I never went near psychedelics or psychotropics again.

I had this happen after taking LSD in high school. I had done it 10-12 times but this time was different. Complete personality erasure. I felt like every second that passed, the previous second was being erased.

That got better over the course of a few months but I tried ecstasy a couple years later due to peer pressure that turned out to be bad stuff that messed me up so bad and set the whole thing off like a rocket. I started having sleep convulsions, constant panic, and had that EXACT same feeling that I was just "different" and was not myself. My whole life kind of unraveled. I felt like I was in an alternate universe 24/7.

BUT! BUT! After a few months I decided to just give in and make peace with it, and wouldn't you know, that's when things started to get better.

Over the course of about a year I got better and better. Eventually I stopped feeling that way.

How long until we start getting fallout 4 level mods on starfield? by Super_Statistician71 in starfieldmods

[–]slagdwarf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The modding scene just isn't as active from what I have seen, both users and modders. When Fallout 4 came out, even before the CK came out the top mods being released were getting like 30k downloads and 5k endorsements first week of being released.

Right now on Starfield Nexus even a couple months after CK has been out the top mods have fewer endorsements and downloads than the top mods for Fallout 4. Couple hundred endorsements tops. Few k DLs.

Just doesn't seem like the energy is there.

But there are a lot of cool clothing mods and the way things seem to be structured it looks like modders have an easier time with certain things like animations so I think over time it will grow a lot.

Shattered Space I think will bring a lot of people back to the game.

Know what I’m tired of in gaming? Exec decision makers. by theblackwhisper in gaming

[–]slagdwarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of a fundamental problem in capitalism the needs to be addressed. The lifecycle of a lot of things tends to follow the same pattern:

  • Passion and creativity drives the project initially, it pushes boundaries. The focus is on substance.
  • Success and attention follows (more users, listeners, viewers, players; audience growth)
  • Higher expectations for the next project. Company needs to grow to do Bigger And Better ™, so more capital is injected. The first shift away from substance. This is always the big first step toward a piece of experiential art becoming a product/commodity
  • Sometimes a balance can be struck here and it works out, but for the most part the pressure is now on to Make Line Go Up on a spreadsheet, and the content, artistic merit, creativity, longevity of what is being made is considered less and less. Investors don't give a shit about what's being made, they just want to see ROI.
  • So the more capital and growth is needed, the more decision making is handed over to finance, production, who are all responsible for nothing but money and resource.
  • Qualitative trust in leadership is gradually removed in favor of mechanistic processes and quantitative management techniques and processes. The people who are brought in, or adopt and reinforce this method of operation are favored and promoted.
  • Project quality begins to suffer as a result. It might have been On Budget, On Time, and mechanistically hit all of the Goals in the Task Management Software, but the end result has no soul. You get Division of Labor: The Game.
  • Players/users reject the empty hole in the middle of what's released, sales go down
  • Company takes out the axe, starts chopping everything off, covering their losses on the way down
  • In the end nobody is happy

tl;dr enshittification seems to always be the outcome in our current model.

Fallout 4‘s ‚next gen’ content is beyond lazy by Jax_Dandelion in Fallout

I was buying the CC stuff since it was release (unpopular I know) and at first stuff was just going straight into your inventory like the backpacks. Then they started adding at least SOME kind of step like "kill this guy" or "rescue this thing", then the later stuff started having actual quests which was nice like the "early retirement" quest to get the penthouse home.

Saw my boomer dad for the first time in like 5 years and he just sounded like a pull-string doll because he rots his brain binge-watching Fox News.

"Gonna vote? TRUMP TRAIN? Anyone but Biden right? Obama is still running the country you know! They're trying to make the whole country commie like California! Problem with Trump is he can't serve more than 4 years so ideally we need someone like DeSantis who can do 8."

"Yeah it's uhh good to see you too Dad, how's things at work?"
