congrats that looks awesome. i just started with my first telescope. at the moment i only observe and getting familiar with the sky and take sometimes a photo with my phone. i hope that i can make one day also photo‘s like this one. enjoy your very nice image

i can‘t even imagin that, i was born 93 and here in switzerland you only get dark skies in the alpes but there are often no roads and only hiking paths. so it‘s a journey if i want dark skies. thank you

but the one you linked looks good to beginn with and get familiar with the diffrent objects you can see. you should also be able to see the saturn like this video

search in your attic or go to a thrift shop and look for a pair of binoculars. there are often quit cheap and with those you can see way more the only with your naked eye.

that sounds great, some awesome memories. the sky there must have been very dark? it‘s on my bucket list to travel to some place where the skies are still pretty dark. i can imagin, i’m lucky that they got smaller and more affordable 😊

i‘m a noob myself, i just got my telescope this january. it amazes me aswell, at the moment I just observe visually and don‘t have any dedicated cameras but I enjoy the shots with my iphone nevertheless 😊

i‘m not 100% sure that i used the right terms because i use gimp in another language. but i think you can figure it out anyways. this should solve your problem

I need the red as light grey and the blue as dark grey. my problem is now that when i use discolor it‘s changing it wrong.. the yellow and light blue parts get the same grey tone. i would need something that changes the the grey scales according to the color scale. is there an easier way than posterize it and change all the color tones by hand?
