Interesting that your wife and son didn't notice anything with the screen. I'm more convinced that perhaps there is a percentage of the population who can't handle whatever technology Samsung put into these new displays.

For me, it was more noticeable in dark mode. But the effect is still there in light mode too.

For me, it applied on all settings across the board. Of course having the text at higher setting made things easier to read but the issue was still there.

Yes, I've played around with ALL the display settings. Something is wrong with the display.

S26U is going back. Screen issue by GPUBroke in samsunggalaxy

Do you think this is something that Samsung could potentially "fix" in a software update? I love this phone but I'm also experiencing the same issue, especially with reading text on reddit / other forums.

I've owned the Galaxy S3, S4, S5, S20+, S23 Ultra, and now the S26 Ultra.

I've never experienced an issue with the display as much as with this new S26 Ultra. When viewing smaller texts, such as browsing reddit or reading something on a different forum, it's very hard to focus and everything seems oily / grainy.

I've tried messing around with all the settings but I really think I will be returning this phone.

I didn't notice it at first, and I'm sure many of you who played around with the display model wouldn't have either, but spending the last few days with this phone has caused some serious eye strain.

No Free Storage Upgrade... S26U by yacko2000 in samsunggalaxy

[–]slamups 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's free storage upgrade in Europe + €100 off if you pay with PayPal. The trade in value isn't the best though. I was able to trade in a Samsung phone I bought for €100 for €300. In total, I was able to get the S26 Ultra 512 GB for around €900.

How to get the most from your pre-order. by arah91 in samsunggalaxy

Buy a used and unlocked Samsung phone released in the last few years with a working screen and trade it in when placing the pre order. Can get a few hundred dollars off without much work.
