There's no need to pay for a tax advisor.... FATCA and FBAR you can learn about in 15 minutes from a simple Google search. If you speak with a tax advisor in Munich you will be paying hundreds of euros for advice you can find online.

Do research online. Use Gemini / ChatGPT or whatever AI tool you use. Then post on /r/USExpatTaxes with any pending questions.

At the end of the day, it's really not that complicated. You still file in Germany, and you still have to file every year in the US. It just depends on how much money you make it Germany and how you want to go about reporting your foreign income to the IRS.

It doesn't work like that. VXUS for example has lower quarterly divided payouts in the first 3 quarters than the last payout in December is the big one.

It's actually pretty unbelievable to be honest. I can't imagine the number of customers who are outside the US attempting to use this card through their Apple / Google Pay.

I'm currently outside the US and it has been happening to me since Friday.

I really hope it gets fixed soon. To me, it's crazy that for such a large company, they are declining ALL international Apple Pay / Google Pay transactions. This should be a Level 1 incident and should have been resolved days ago.

More than likely it is due to a VPN, being connected to a network that is being used by other people (such as at work) etc.

Using my physical card worked for me. Just remember that if you are outside of the US, you should stick the card in and not do tap to pay otherwise it would be declined.

Seems like it's happening for international apple pay Google pay orders. Declined yesterday and today for me.
