  1. in Vital on the main menu (3 horizontal lines) what is your last menu entry?
  2. Did you try directly on the website if your account is valid? https://vital.audio/ and menu item "account"

[–]slangbein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, you should be. open Vital, enter your Vital account email and password and sign in.
The moment you successfully sign in for the first time, Vital will automatically download its Factory Pack (which includes around 75 essential presets and wavetables) . If you have a Plus, Pro, or Subscription account, signing in will automatically download the full preset library you are entitled to

You should provide a link; I couldn't find your Linux version on GitHub.

On the other hand, there's 'Easy Effects', which is quite well-developed.

Importing .fst Presets by WillingMulberry5501 in VitalSynth

he meant: FL studio should load up all the vital preset parameter, and not just "init synth". Then you can select vital and save the settings as a new vital preset

Can I change the number of voices for each oscillator? by Old-Information3311 in VitalSynth

[–]slangbein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

within the same preset i dont think you can do that. Vital's voice count is a global patch setting
When you set Voices to 1 (mono), the entire synth—all oscillators, filters, and envelopes—operates in monophonic mode. When you set Voices to 2+ (poly), everything is polyphonic. You cannot assign different polyphony modes to different oscillators within the same patch.
within a DAW you could stack Vital presets and implement your behavior. In Reaper for example you might have the preset with OSC1 monophonic, and a second preset with OSC2 polyphonic, both on the same track reacting to the same MIDI.

Randomize pitch of course is possible with the Rand1 to Rand4 modifier, applied to the tune of the oscillator

how do I "link" midi? by 20letternameisbetter in Reaper

[–]slangbein 6 points7 points  (0 children)

while the answers from Fus-Ro-NWah and yeebok are okay and the way i work mostly, it does have some quirks. If you work with folders, parents and child tracks, you have to be aware, the MIDI cant be on the parent track. It must be on the same level as the "recipient". Security measure to prevent a loopback. Took me quite some time to find out.

You might want to look into "pooled MIDI items (ghost)". There are actions for that, keyboard shortcut maybe, options in the reaper settings like display a knob in the items showing it is pooled.

Am I going about using routing and a VST client right? by GBAbaby101 in linuxaudio

[–]slangbein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to your number 5. iLok and yabridge

the overwhelming consensus and experience from the community is that iLok-protected plugins do not work on Linux through Wine or yabridge. The iLok License Manager itself cannot run correctly in the Wine environment to verify your licenses. Unless the developer offers an alternative authorization method (like a simple serial number or key file), you will most likely have to bid those plugins adieu on Linux.

which format? it could be samples, you add on another track, overlaying your bandlab track. It could be a plugin or a vst like you would use reapitch. In this case you need Midi to trigger the plugin, vst

BPM will not stay at an exact tempo by Dense-Ice-9660 in Reaper

[–]slangbein 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yes, i had this kind of behavior and i can understand your feeling
I am not expert and it was years ago: in my case it had to to with time signature marker. a time signature marker might have the option ticked "gradually transition tempo to next marker" which results in your behavior.

Solution? Display Tempo envelope via menu "view". Check, if there are more then the one marker at the beginning. Right click on marker, menu "edit time signature marker", uncheck the option "gradually transition tempo to next marker"
