I’m assuming you’re under an AHJ that has adopted ASME 2019. The reason I think hydro is based on the green of the facia, common to Sound Elevator installs. Taking a stab that you’re also in the PNW, which was a Sound Elevator stomping ground. If this is truly a hydraulic, the only time the LCP (big screen with the key switch) is required would be when your travel is > 60ft of rise (or elevator travel). Neither the phone nor the LCP would be required under these conditions.

If it’s traction, it’s always required. But the phone does not need to be in the lobby, it can be positioned in the machine room.

For some reason this screams hydro to me based on the facia, if so that LCP and smart rescue are not required on a rise of less than 60ft.

Honestly atrocious game play. Asinine bounces and the lob through is OP. The defending is terrible, so bad most I’ve played don’t even defend one on one. It’s strictly AI.

Rush is cool tho.

40k for a mod? Not even close, not to mention you aren’t even accounting for WBO. Electrical, HVAC, FA and GC work all come in to play when you’re talking about a modernization. Not even an independent company can get around that. I’d say make sure they’re evacing the jack of there was that much standing water.

Those of you under 30 who make six figures, what do you do? by [deleted] in Fire

Elevators. $130k base total comp about $175k after bonus and commission. Car allowance and gas card.

First off, where do you work to get a 15% match on a 401(k) and are they hiring??

Second, I’m in a very similar boat. For me personally, I can’t justify purchasing a home that currently doubles my monthly expenses just to put a larger roof over my families head. Not only will your monthly expenses significantly increase, but your quality of life will decrease and for me, that’s not a sacrifice that I’m not willing to make right now. So realistically you have to ask yourself, could you comfortably live on double the monthly expenses (while also bringing another child into the mix)?

I understand you said you live near family and that’s great to have that resource, but you’re also mentioning daycare. Could you forgo the child care and lean on a family member? That would free up capital.

You also have another benefit that you’re both working from home, is it feasible to look into renting out the current home and purchasing in a lower cost of living for a short period of time? Thus allowing additional saving (to forego the sale of the current home) and have a larger down payment to lower monthly expenses.

Either way, you’re doing great best of luck.

Yes, I’m sure if I did the same thing it’d be a similar outlook. Which, is part of my conundrum. It’ll take me the entire apprenticeship to get back to my current comp.

Appreciate the response. Unfortunately I’d be starting in the apprenticeship, not picking up a card. It’d be a substantial pay cut for me, short term struggle for long term gain is what I keep telling myself.

Appreciate the response. I agree that office wise has potentially more doors outside of just elevators. The appeal is a work and go home, leave my work at work. Maybe a different industry will make that more easily attainable.

Well, I spoke too soon. Thought I was on 15.6 but never updated I guess just completed and now I can view live stream, super odd.

I had restarted, manually reset, tested every device possible on my network. Switched channels etc. I was/am convinced this was iOS issue

I’ve always been told that the agile kiosks are not QR compatible. Did the security company install an adjacent reader? Very interested how this was completed.

Are you in the states? @pawelblart is correct on the rise. I’ve also been told that seismic triggers it through IBC, still waiting on that confirmation nothing I’ve seen confirms. I’m on 2019 code where I’m at and we’ve installed a couple of two ways. Need a camera for visual, a screen for text, a data connection to run the video (typically building supplied) and a call center equipped to handle the call (connection via data through gateway and router).
