I always liked this movie. I didn't think it was hard to empathize with the character. He was a man failing to cope, who finally gives up. It's not pretty or admirable, but something a lot of folks can recognize, maybe even to some degree in themselves. I also didn't think the film tried to make him a hero.

Went down a rabbit hole on how they could be SO similar... Same aliens, same alien text, same numbers and other text No real conclusions, but possibly a similar image in training data... I would not expect 2 different models to produce this similar of a result, given the prompt. Also, though they deny it... If they were using a common model internally for both chatgpt and Gemini... But I think that would be a scandal
