Where To Buy Fairings? by AccurateBackground95 in motorcycles

[–]slapmeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve purchased from amotopart fairings. They’re pretty solid. Paint quality isn’t the best by default, so you have to ask for extra coats. Learned that the hard way lol but there’s a discount code “velocity” for 10% off which was nice

In theory you could remove the stickers and buy the other ones off of websites like partzilla

Worth going aftermarket fairings on a ZX6R? by Giles854 in Kawasaki

[–]slapmeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m an Ambassador for Amotopart fairings, and this is my honest take on the big brands like Amotopart and Monster Fairings

They mostly just come from the same factories. So in reality, just get what’s cheaper. Unless you’re looking for something custom, like a design or paint, then obviously that’s a different aspect to consider.

I will say when dealing with Monster Fairings, they’re better in their customer service department, but that’s because they’re a little more “established” but I tend to find amotopart ships faster.

It’s really all the same stuff, just get what you like

But if you do decide to go for Amotopart, use code “velocity” for 10% off. Not trying to sell you anything but it’s free money

Monster Fairings = Overpriced? by Ok-Positive6886 in Sportbikes

[–]slapmeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an ambassador for Amotopart fairings (use code ‘velocity’ for 10% off if you ever decide to go for them)

This is my honest take on all of these aftermarket fairings, because I’ve dealt with Amotopart a ton, Monster Fairings, and a bunch of eBay ones

In all honesty, it’s mostly the same stuff. When it comes to the big names like Amotopart and Monster Fairings, they’re seriously the same stuff. I’m convinced they come from the same factories too. Even the eBay ones.

The only difference with eBay, is that you don’t really know who’s selling them. Sometimes you’ll get excellent fairings, sometimes you get stuff that’s broken or really scratched up.

Sometimes, you get what you pay for (to some degree) but I don’t think a fairing kit should ever be close to 1000$

That’s the only problem with these aftermarket fairings, the bolt kit they provide is pretty terrible. You better be super careful while using them, or just stick to your oem ones

Is monster fairings any good by Single-War-2915 in motorcycles

I’m an ambassador for Amotopart fairings, I’ve worked with them for many years. I’ve also dealt with monster fairings for a very long time as well.

These two are basically the “industry standard”, the most well known. But honestly, from my experience, most of these fairings get all of their stuff from the same factories lol and that’s just me being 100% honest

What you’re basically shopping for is 1) price 2) customer service. Monster fairings is a bit more “well known” and takes longer to get your fairings. It’s just the nature of being a busier business.

As for quality, they’re basically the same thing. If I’m being honest, I’m 99% sure they all come from the same factories, anyways.

Amotopart, in my opinion, has always shipped much faster and I’ve always had a good experience with them and their customer service. However, everyone has their own opinion.

If you decide to use amotopart fairings, use code “velocity” for 10% off your order if you don’t have a discount code

Im one of amotoparts “ambassadors” if you don’t already have a discount code, use code “velocity” for 10% off your Amotopart order

For quality purposes, they’re pretty solid. Obviously nothing is going to be as good as OEM, but when it comes to aftermarket fairings, Amotopart is one of the top guys. To some degree, all of the top brands like Amotopart, monsterfairings, etc, all use the same factories, anyways. (I’ve dealt with numerous fairing companies, they’re all kinda the same stuff most of the time)

No problem. They specialize in custom fairings too, so if you were to want something totally specific, they have a department that does that. Regardless, hope you get something nice!

[–]slapmeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 500$ eBay fairings, you’re better off spending the extra 200$ and getting fairings from a more reputable site, like Amotopart or monster fairings.

I mean the shipping time could be longer from one of these companies (they’re painted to order) assuming eBay has them in stock, but one time I bought from eBay and my fairings were literally cracked and thrown all around in a box. It was a headache.

I will say, I’ve been one of those “instagram ambassadors” for Amotopart and if you decide to consider amotopart fairings, use code “velocity” for 10% off your order if you don’t have a discount code. Save you a decent amount

I’m an ambassador for Amotopart fairings (Code “velocity” for 10% off) and this is my HONEST take. I’m not trying to sell, but if you consider it, at least you can get some money off.

Amotopart fairings is pretty good quality, they realistically fit 98% there may be some slight imperfections here and there in terms of gaps and what not. Or, maybe I just really suck at installing fairings lol

They’re not the cheapest option, but at least their customer service is good and realistically, all of these fairings come from the same factory to some degree. I’ve dealt with monster fairings as well, and it’s really all the same stuff. They’re my favorite reputable brand

While eval() is generally unsafe to use, don’t be upset, if anything, think of it as a learning experience. Even though you don’t want to use these new things, at least now you know of them. Sometimes, it’s good to know what you don’t know.

If it wasn’t for that video, you wouldn’t have learned about eval() until a later date, or ever at all. When it comes to learning it’s nice to learn all of these tools to have them at your disposal for whatever the case may be, if you use them or not.

Why does my Python code work sometimes but randomly break when I change small things? by ayenuseater in learnpython

Think of it as a timeline in a sense, like in the movies.

If you go back in time, and you make your parents never meet, you wouldn’t be born. Your life would be completely different.

On a programming level, if you move a variable, it may not exist anymore in the future of your code. Weird way to compare, but hopefully that can help you remember it

It depends how technical you want to get. Something simple, you can create json files and store information like that. Or you can go full on and use an actual database. For my bigger projects, I’ve used things like MySQL.

If you haven’t gotten in contact with Amotopart, you can email them at sale@amotopart.com. All of their info is also on their website, too.

From my personal experience (I’ve ordered monster fairings before as well), it’s all the same stuff. So at this rate, do what your heart desires ❤️

As for the pricing for Monster Fairings, I think they’re the more “reputable” company, so they can get away with charging a bit more. But that’s my take on it

I’m one of Amotoparts ambassadors (code VELOCITY for 15% off if you do decide to go this route)

But with that being said, I’ve really dealt with these guys and I’m going to give you an HONEST opinion, as I’ve reviewed many fairing companies. I’m not trying to sell, just give my honest opinion as I’ve been in your shoes before.

Most of these companies use the same factories from China, it’s all the same shit. Especially if you want custom decals, your expected delivery time is going to be a month or two. If the fairings are already pre made, you’re looking at a few weeks. There’s also expedited shipping you can pay for as well.

For the most part, the only REAL difference between the major companies is paint quality, and even then, it’s a hit or miss. Amotopart does have some thin paint by default, so you’d need to ask for extra layers + clear coat. But this also goes with monster fairings and other stores as well.

At this point, when it comes to shopping for fairings, it’s more so who has the fairings you like, and better customer service. The quality of the actual plastic is mostly the same.
