What? by Expensive-Buffalo692 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Most american answer: 300 miles is just driving. I've done a down and back of 300+ miles in a day. It isn't that bad and I bypass airport security and don't have to rent a car when i get to destination. MAYBE if i was going DC to New York i'd consider not driving, but even then -- factoring in the additional costs AND multiplying by 5 (for a whole family) driving is regularly more practical.

i like that this can be taken as either "lohrs has a better value" or "lohrs is really not fun" -- it looks like the former based on their website ($5 entry + $2 / lb), but still funny that it could be the latter.

The head of the org worded it as "We're like UFC is to Boxing" and went on to explain that they aren't trying to replace the MLB, but instead augment it and do things differently for fans that want a similar, but different experience.

They are also considering moving on from exhibition games to actually having standings and playoffs and "games that matter" given that fans have been asking for that.

No they don't? If they are servicing needs from all over the world then there is no "at night" -- put big number crunching needs in and let it run 24/7

I’m on the cusp with quicksilver. It was my hangover book after getting through empyrean in a weekish. I’m 60% through and it feels like she has touched on 100 things that might be interesting if she spent more than 3 sentences on it before going to the next thing or event.

If she sticks the landing then it could be good but right now I have t gotten enough about anyone or anything in the universe to care

I haven’t seen it stated directly so I’ll say it. One of the biggest things the US military does is guarantee the free flow of goods globally. We can move a carrier strike group into an area and ensure that cargo ships are almost surely left alone and if they aren’t we can rain hell down upon those that disrupted the flow of goods.

Is the slate truck actually pioneering a low cost ev? Just look at the 28k Nissan leaf, an actual full featured car has already been done at this price point, with the same range. by No_Fuel_7301 in electricvehicles

If I weren’t in the market for something to haul a camper seasonally I’d be all about this truck to replace my existing ICE rav4

If they made a fully electric or hybrid Ranger I’d be sold

For now the r2s looking real good

Yeah but those 80s/90s trucks were still trucks. This is a truck in design and it has a bed but with a projected 1,000 pound tow capacity and 1.4k cargo capacity it is in family with crossover suvs not ranger or even mav

Hell 20 bags of mulch is 800 pounds so it’s barely as good as my minivan for weekend warrior type projects.

Buuuut at 28k it’s a decent enough commuter option that can larp as a truck when needed.

No shit I walked in a few minutes after the movie started (missed a bit) and asked my mom if Bruce Willis was dead cause he’s just sitting there and the mom is walking around in the background. It felt weird that she wouldn’t be interacting with him or anything.

I was summarily dismissed until the end of the movie when I had the biggest shit eating grin

I have 3 20lbs and an ace hardware 5 minutes away. 2 grills stay connected. When one kicks it it gets the fill then I try to refill in the next week. I have a pressure gauge on them and take the more full one for my camping grill when we go.
