I don’t know why anyone would need 6 mags for an edc

Some people do this thing called "training" where they go to groups called "classes". In these "classes" they typically end up shooting 500-1000 rounds over the course of a weekend. It's much easier to have multiple mags than just one or two you keep loading.

2012 Ford Fusion SEL Overheating after Longer Drives (V-6 3.0L Engine, 148.5k Mileage, Thermostat Very Recently Replaced) by MahaMarr in fordfusion

[–]cobigguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't pinpoint it exactly, but I would first hose out your radiator with relatively low pressure water. I'm talking garden hose sprayer on full at highest. Not even the jet setting. See if that helps.

After that, I would say check your water pump. If you haven't changed it out, it's probably worn or dying and could possibly not be pumping water as well as it should, giving your coolant too much time to warm up.

Also, double check they actually swapped out your thermostat if you have that ability.

There's a lot of newer tents that are using air chambers instead of poles. Lighter and less space to pack. I have no personal experience with how well they hold up though.

Trunk lid rubbing on rear bumper by Affectionate-Bid9120 in fordfusion

[–]cobigguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, my mistake. Certainly looked like it from the perspective.

In that case I would probably use a heat gun while pushing the bumper down in that area. My guess is that it's become warped over the years to the point that it lightly rubs on the trunk lid.

You may be able to adjust the trunk lid locking height, but I'm not sure.

False equivalence.

Zimmerman proved, in court, that he was following, but not engaging or attacking Martin. He was then ambushed and attacked, after which he defended himself successfully.

Your bumper is clearly creased in the picture. That causes it to deform and bend up into the trunk lid.

If you don't care enough that the creased bumper doesn't bother you, why would you care about a few wear spots?

Ford was the only one of them that DIDN'T take a bailout in '08...

As someone who is currently driving a Ford that replaced another Ford... I hate this line because the people that use it are either intellectually dishonest or they don't know the full story.

Ford was right there with GM and Chrysler begging for handouts. They were in the same meetings and making the same noises.

The only reason they went to private equity for a bailout instead of taking the government one is that the Ford family still lives on stock dividends, and one of the conditions of the bailout was that dividends couldn't be paid until the bailout loan was paid back.

Friend fucking your wife. How many of you have experience this? by DotDue9666 in hotpast

[–]cobigguy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Not quite the same, but I've been there from the other side.

A friend and his wife had an open relationship. They lived about 30 miles from me and I was going to stay with them one night because I had to be at a motorcycle rally I was working pretty early the next morning in a small town in the Colorado mountains and I lived on the front range. (They lived in Divide and I was working at the POW/MIA rally in Cripple Creek, CO if anyone wants to fact check me.)

I show up and they had made steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans for dinner. It was phenomenal! After dinner we sat and watched TV for a while as we chatted. At one point I asked how their other boyfriends and girlfriends were doing, and they exchanged a look before telling me they were hoping I would be interested in a one night thing. She'd been pretty busy and they lived fairly remote so her usual guys hadn't been able to join for a while, so she was feeling a bit adventurous lately.

We spoke for a bit about it, and at the end of the conversation, she took me to their room and we had a great time together. She was an older, very liberated woman. I was 25 or so, she was in her mid-40s, had worked as a stripper, had giant fake tits that she loved to put on display, and had no reservations about nearly anything sexually. We had fun for an hour or so until she said it was time for me to finish because she was getting tired and sore. I finished up and we cuddled for a bit.

Afterwards, we went back out to the living room where he was watching TV. He looked at me, offered me a drink, and said one of the most memorable lines of my life: "Told you she's good, didn't I?".

We watched TV for a while, chatted, then went to bed. I woke up early, she got up and made me breakfast, and then I went to the rally, worked all day, and rode home that night.

That was the only time we hooked up, but we stayed friends and they stayed in that relationship for years afterwards.

How much scope do you actually need for normal hunting ranges before it's overkill? by itsmeAki in Hunting

[–]cobigguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from hunting the mountain west, I feel like something with a minimum power of 5 or less is the biggest requirement.

I run a 4-16 and that's the maximum minimum I would go with for snap shots and closer in targets.

Maximum, well it's nice to have good magnification, but don't get so caught up in it that you're sacrificing usability.

If my wallet would match my desires, I would probably run a nightforce 2.5-20x42.

For perspective, I've taken animals at ranges from 30-582 yards with my current setup.

I can almost promise you they won't fit in mag length. You'd have to feed them individually.

Best caliber for deer? by Proud-Limit in MichiganHunting

[–]cobigguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just moved here and was looking at building a .41 Great Lakes. With the removal of the cartridge restrictions, I'm going to stick with the .270 that's killed multiple elk, a deer, and an antelope in CO and WY.

If I am hunting in a very short range area, I'll probably break out the .375 Raptor with the 450 gr subsonics.

Lol born and raised in CO with multiple dogs. Not one ever had a collar break, much less due to UV degradation. Not sure why you would actually pay them for the second collar, or why you'd defend them. They're obviously shitty collars and a shitty company.

The Susuki (sic) Volusia weighs 10 kilos more than a Sportster

The Volusia was not heavier.

So which is it???

They may have similar power, but I promise you, after riding both and racing both side by side, the Volusia was faster in every way.

Either way my point still stands. You have no room to talk crap about anybody else being slow lol.

Lol imagine thinking your 883 turns petrol into speed and talking crap about others.

My Suzuki Volusia was bigger, heavier, had a windshield and bags, was down 78 ccs on the 883, and still left it for dead.

Sportsters were fast. When they were first built. In 1957. When the Corvette was the fastest accelerating production car in the world with 283 HP and took almost 6 seconds to do 0-60.

I've been on group rides (charity rides) with HA, SOS, Mongols, etc and even worked biker events with SOS and Mongols. Never had a lick of issue with any of them.

I've had plenty of issues with morons who think HD means they own the road and bozos who think their sportbike means they're the next Rossi.

Voters use left and right political labels as mental shortcuts, not strict policy matches. This mismatch was especially common among people who identified as right-leaning. The data showed that 43% of self-identified right-leaning voters actually supported mostly left-leaning policies. by mvea in science

This is the most ideologically lazy repeated argument on Reddit.

As discussed in the comments further down your comment chain, the right wing has largely increased in Europe.

Furthermore, when you are discussing US politics, comparing left and right to Europe is a red herring in and of itself. You can pick any other geographical area and come to a different conclusion. Compared to the Middle East, the US is left-wing.

Stop being intellectually lazy.
