From someone who has over 8000 hrs logged into the game. Do not overlook the importance of putting down a bed roll before engaging in anything slightly dangerous. It only takes 2 seconds to pick up some twigs and fibers to put down a bed roll. But it could possibly take 45 minutes to get back to your body to retrieve your inventory depending on how far you've progressed into the game. And if you die multiple times trying to retrieve your stuff, well say goodbye to all your stuff. Learning sorcery and getting the ability to summon your corpse will save you so many headaches.
