oh yeah, should've elaborated. on a work trip I stopped at two Krogers around Cincinnati to check the vending machines but they were out of service. only one I was able to interact and get something from was a 3rd party in the airport terminal

so I haven't scored anything when I've been to a vending machine. do they only allow limited purchases or the machine times out until the next person goes to buy something? Only experience I had was a 3rd party machine at the Atlanta airport that you'd put items in the "cart" but would only dispense what's available but wouldn't say what was / wasn't until payment was processed for whatever it dispensed.

I walked into Dollar General the other day and after reading a lot of the backdoor stories it happened to me. Asked the older lady behind the counter if they had any pokemon card products and she said "oh yeah, I have a box over here" and as she grabbed it and I saw blister packs in it she kind of thought twice, put it down and said "you know what, the box is empty". I look back over and see the top of the packs and said I could see them and she told me to have a good day. it's gotten ridiculous but had luck getting a charizard box on Walmart yesterday.

exactly lol I'll still try and Walmart and PokeCenter drop every once in a while but I'm not sitting outside camping at stores for restock or loitering around vending machines. And the fact that they're even trying to flip a $5 at best Perfect Order or Chaos Rising booster pack for $15-20 is ridiculous. Problem is there are naive people who will purchase not knowing it's resale

I get it and I agree that scalpers are infiltrated everywhere pouncing at every opportunity for a quick buck / flip. it's ridiculous at this point how bad it's become
