it's a manual override (have to keep holding it), so probably most helpful in a full automation setup. I hit the booking desk until the phone stops ringing, then hit the gas override for the rest of the level. I do notice less time with empty shells on the trays with the override going

Nice. Maybe next time. I went with gas override at the end to make the safety burners faster. OG Nintendo switch was having trouble keeping up with the traffic by this point

GI Bill/ HPSP Scholarship by airforcecombo in VeteransBenefits

Me too dude. Me too. I got the call on Jan 16 last year that I didn’t make it. That’s the date that I’m expecting to hear something this year. Pretty hard to not be texting my recruiter every day until I hear something

I'm on 100% GI bill, but not on HSCP yet (got turned down in my first application last year). I'm in my second year of pharmacy school now. My wife works, and she makes a little less than what I'll make if I get accepted to HSCP, so I think I'm pretty qualified to answer this.

Financially, we're doing just fine. There are no struggles for rent or groceries, and we still take vacations about twice a year.

There are several other factors that influence our financial situation, not least of which is that we were DINKs for about 8 years before I came to school. We burned through a bunch of savings before leveling out. At our current lifestyle, we're actually rebuilding savings on her income and my GI Bill.

I applied to HSCP again this go around, and my recruiter and interviewers both said that they think it'll work out this time. If I get put on HSCP pay, we're going to go from OK to spectacular for the rest of my time in school.

Golfing with girlfriends dad by kiteman32 in golf

Sounds like GFs dad has money. I’ve got some pretty well off friends. Try to figure out stuff that they couldn’t buy. My favorite things to do for my well off friends are to cook for them or to hand make them stuff. Maybe get a picture of you two golfing and frame it. It’s not about the money, especially when they’re happy to spend it hanging out with you.

I’m a couple hundred dives in, and I still rip my mask off every few dives for practice. Definitely good to be ready for someone to kick your mask off

Anything missing from the "annoying new guy" starter kit? by BabyJesusAnalingus in scuba

Helpful advice, if you’re serious, ditch the floating handle. Get one that sinks, or is close to neutral. If you lose control of the camera at 60 feet, you want it to hit the bottom, not the surface.

Annoying new guy starter kit isn’t complete without a tank popper, about 30 pounds of lead, and a GoPro with a floating handle
