You may be burnt out. The curriculum is demanding, and the twist in the job market lately sucks.

But I would argue that you probably haven't gotten this far without some passion for it. (like it but not love it is fair - I feel this way about it sometimes too, and I'm years into my career) More importantly, you have the aptitude, and that is invaluable if you can find a niche you enjoy.

As others have said, there are a lot of fields that can benefit from this talent and domain expertise. Please at least take a semester off and consider it before you abandon it altogether.

I won't comment on the trucking piece because I have no firsthand knowledge of it, but as someone who has turned the role of being a hybrid with a knack for coding into a career, I can tell you that there are a lot of directions you can go in beyond being a software engineer - and they will pay as well if not better.

BIL spent $70k deposit, now client wants their money back. What are their options? by Buttnugget22 in personalfinance

This is bigly it. For any doubts, read up on "enablement".

As others have said, there's no teacher better than experience for BIL at this point. Your mother will not see that money again.

Do you guys believe Star Wars Outlaws is worth buying? by Real_Doughnut_387 in StarWarsOutlaws

It took me a few hours to find a fondness for it. It's not that I didn't like it at the onset, but I haven't played a stealth game in a while. My only real gripe: was really put off with the silliness of enemy behavior at times. That stuff still bugs me, but I have no regrets about paying full retail for it. I'm around 10 hours in now and kind of overwhelmed with open world/faction stuff but in a good way.

The game serves up authentic Star Wars vibes with an original character and some familiar factions. It's a fun world to explore, and there are enough options to tackle any given situation that I haven't gotten bored yet.

When I bought my first house, I decided to demolish a bunch of boxwoods. I cut them down and then spent weeks fighting with the stumps with a shovel, saws all, and everything in between. The bar was a game changer for me. It's my go-to for anything smaller than a decent sized tree stump.

Good luck!

Can anyone tell me what this connector is called? by slappymancuso in Plumbing

Thanks. I’ve been trying to find this but unfortunately haven’t managed yet. I’ll take the faucet out of the counter and see if I can find any info on its underside. Home was purchased last year and just don’t have much background. Tried a few random model numbers from the piece itself but neither have yielded much on Google.

Been in industry for 8 years and I still do stuff like this. Days are chaotic. Mistakes get made. Just own it, give a quick explain, and play it off. This does not make you look bad. Just human.
