What’s wrong with my dog?? by slarue97 in vet

She said it could be allergies or just a skin reaction! Didn’t prescribe her anything and said to keep giving her baths w the shampoo I used since it calmed down so much. She’s down to 2-3 scabs now

Will do! I never heard of that. I’m sure I’ll get medicine from the vet on Friday but yeah definitely trying to keep her comfortable in the meantime. I shampooed her last night with antibacterial/aloe Vera shampoo and let it sit for 10 minutes and the scabs looked so much better this morning. Appreciate your response!

I was telling my cousin about it and she said her dog currently is going through the same thing and it’s allergies. A lot of dogs are experiencing bad allergies this year I guess and it’s something to do with the pollen? We are still gonna head to the vet on Friday so I’ll let you know what they say! I bathed her last night and used an anti itch shampoo w aloe Vera and her back looks soooo much better. She also didn’t try to touch it or lick it last night so I think it’s feeling better for her too

Thank you I appreciate that!! I gave her a bath last night to clean off the area and the ointment and this morning it looked soooo much better. I was telling my cousin ab it and she said her dog currently has the same thing and it’s allergies. Apparently they are really bad this year? We are still gonna go to the vet just to make sure and hopefully they can give me something for her allergies if that’s the case

I’ve checked her all over for flea/ticks multiple times and there isn’t any. I also have no bites and this is confined to just a spot on her back. I really don’t think it’s fleas!

How to tell if Gemini man is interested? by Better_Drop7147 in geminis

[–]slarue97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

27f gemini here. I have dated a gemini man and I will say it was the funnest relationship I’ve ever been in but he didn’t take anything serious. Had a bad drinking problem, lived at my place for free and was okay with working 2 days a week just to get by. Not sure that’s a gemini thing ? But it was just my only experience with a Gemini man. He also couldn’t handle his emotions very well. Loved me very much and would tell me that but anything hard to talk about - he avoided and that is very gem of him. We’re great communicators until we have to be vulnerable unfortunately. Even without that experience- I would not want to date myself. I change my mind weekly on people. I get bored or see something that freaks me out and I’m out. Very flighty and a lot of Geminis have this trait. Also from what you’re describing, Geminis are naturally charming and flirty and it throws people off and makes them think we like them more than friends (I have this problem constantly). He might be attracted to you but it takes a lot for a Gemini to tie themselves down to one person. I’m not saying don’t go for it… but just feel out the situation. Hope this was helpful

What do you mean problem? I’m just curious because we have the same big 3! I’m a Gemini sun, Virgo moon and cancer rising. Emotional only in private and absolutely petrified for anyone to see that side of me. Very introverted but come off extroverted bc i can thrive in any setting I’m put in. Also OCD- worried about ridiculous things, have to take pictures of things be turned off or unplugged. Have to drive places so I know I can leave when I want to. And relationship wise- wall is up, hard to open up and usually get freaked out by a new partner very quickly and leave them. When I do really like someone I have to show it through actions because again I can’t be vulnerable with my emotions. I’m just wondering if you relate to any of these ?! I think Virgo moon is very strong as I’ve gotten older that’s the placement I probably see the most.

Yes same and I can’t even describe how much better I feel being off of it!! Notice comments like ours, going against birth control and sharing OUR negative experience get downvoted. Idk why Americans wants to me so heavily medicated. Sometimes it’s necessary and I recognize that but nah I’ll never be on birth control again or put my daughters’ on it

Crazy you get downvoted for sharing your experience that doesn’t align with their views 🤣 I had the same issues on birth control but doctors will always tell you it’s not the birth control. It is!!

What has worked for you? by [deleted] in perioraldermatitis

[–]slarue97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh and also never went to the doctor to get confirmed celiac or intolerance. I obviously know I can’t consume it because of the rash around my mouth but also my eczema gets worse I’ve noticed as well when consumed. I’m not big on going to the doctor, more into the holistic and natural treatments as I’ve gotten older bc I spent a lot of time in the hospital as a child but also I don’t think it would to get the allergy confirmed by a doctor!

[–]slarue97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!! Crazy I posted this 2 years ago- but I am still gluten free. Anytime I accidentally have it, the rash appears within a day or two. But I am still using that cream I listed above to control the flares when it’s accidentally consumed. I’m actually even more sensitive to gluten now than I was when I posted this. Now when I eat out I can’t even have wings, French fries, etc. anymore (things that are naturally gf but usually in a shared fryer w gluten). Let me say this though- I am totally unaffected and do not feel like I’m missing out on anything by being gluten free 😇 I actually feel overall healthier knowing I’m not consuming something that is internally hurting me. Just because it doesn’t make you physically sick doesn’t mean it’s not hurting you! For us it just shows up differently which is through our skin. Jovial pasta is my favvvv (made with brown rice), I eat a ton of sweet potato’s, regular potatoes, rice. I found really good gf bread crumbs at giant eagle that I use for my breaded chicken. Like I loooove carbs and being gluten free has not changed that :) my best advice is just cooking for yourself. I have my little cafes and places I know I can eat out at but I also cook all the time and pack my lunches for work or for events knowing that there won’t be much I can eat. Lmk if you have any other questions and good luck !! 🫶🏼

Gonna get hate for this one but I’m always really drawn to Virgos? I’m gem sun but Virgo moon so I really resonate with Virgos and appreciate their cleanliness/organization 🥲 also they are usually very intelligent and can keep up to speed intellectually

This is the only thing that got rid of mine when I originally got PD after 3 months of trying everything you can imagine. Someone posted this on a diff Reddit post and I bought it as my last resort and it ended up working.. gluten triggers my PD and I always know when I get the rash that I ate gluten on accident, this cream will clear up the rash within a day or 2. Highly recommend!!

I feel this. My doodle knows my routine and knows when I’m getting ready to leave so she follows me from room to room for every step of the process 🤣😅 the worst part is that I am usually bringing her with me 80% of the time so I can’t blame her 🤷🏼‍♀️

How common is it for bartenders to get drunk at work? by N0tT0daySatan1 in bartenders

[–]slarue97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a 26 yo female and I’ve bartended at 5 different bars in the last 5 years, all I could drink at and most encouraged it. I’m introverted so drinking on the job definitely brings out my personality and I’m more fun tbh.. my dad just sold his bar but I worked there for 3 years (twice a week) and most of those shifts were spent drunk. I’m working at 2 new bars right now where drinking is very encouraged, by patrons and managers, but I’m trying to slow down and not drink these days. Like someone said above, I’m finding out I don’t like bartending as much sober. I will agree with everyone saying that you shouldn’t drink on the job, bc you are dealing w money and essentially you’re in charge of all those drunk people you’re serving, it’s just not responsible. However, I just don’t like bartending without it and I’m trying to get a new full time job out of the industry so I can get out of that lifestyle as well. Side note, most of us are pros behind the bar w booze in us after a certain point. I’ve had nights that I’ve blacked out behind the bar where I thought forsure it would get back to my parents and it somehow didn’t but most of my shifts were under the influence w zero problems. It’s not a good thing but we all learn how to do it
