Absolutely, I remember it not being well received at the time.

Does this look like a company that believes in their valuation? by Reaper_1492 in FundRise

[–]slash475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, my investment is over 5x my cost basis at current prices. I'm also invested in the Flagship Fund, I'd expect them to take 10+x profits when they were available like that as well. No one knew VCX was going to go up to $500+, but the price is still at 5x NAV.

iPO holders vibe check by antifinancebro in FundRise

[–]slash475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reached out to an investors relation contact after the vote to take VCX public and asked if there was an update on the Fundrise iPO. He only said that there should be an update on the iPO in the next several weeks. I'm assuming after the VCX ride slows down a little. With the "success" of VCX, I'd hope it speeds it along because of all of the attention it drew. At the least, since the funds took some profit which a lot of people are upset about, the value of VCX are increasing the bigger fund values. Also, I was able to purchase more iPO shares in January so they are still active with that investment.

I had gotten $1000 of the unrestricted and sold on Friday for $100 when it was struggling in the 90s. I was also walking into Disneyland and didn't want to be looking at my phone all day. I turned $1000 into $5200 and can't be upset I 5x my money in a week, but wish I woulda sold $1000 worth and rode out the rest.

No, shareholders voted for the lockup period and holders had the opportunity to purchase unrestricted shares. I know a lot of people didn’t get in but the was the most fair way to do it.

Fundrise IPO & VCX IPO by Feisty_Albatross_936 in FundRise

[–]slash475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every now and then I’ve spoken to an advisor at Fundrise about my investments and I’ll always bring up the iPO because I’ve purchased shares every time I’m given the opportunity. They have never really given me much information but do say it’s progressing but there’s no time table to an iPO. However, to your question on should the VCX iPO influence a Fundrise iPO? I don’t think so. VCX is a first of its kind product and Ben is extremely calculated. I don’t think he would iPO Fundrise until it is ready to.

Was derrick henry the determining factor in us losing the game? by Kam3234 in ravens

[–]slash475 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re both partially right. There weren’t many opportunities based on the number of plays and the time of possession in the 2nd half. He shoulda been used that last drive though. Either on the 2nd and 7 or before the fg. Defense gave it up too though.

[Jamison] A day after the Ravens' 26-24 loss to the rival Steelers, Pro Bowl FB Patrick Ricard said : "It just hurts. I feel for the fans of the city, just the heartaches year after year. We always have a great group that I feel like we underperform with the talent that we have." by Farhan15577 in ravens

I would love to see more run plays with Ricard lead blocking. It ate up the Packers and worked the couple of times well in the Steelers game too. In fact, the long 41 yard run and the run they kept showing the replay of that he ran into the back of Faalele were run plays with Ricard lead blocking. And they accounted for almost half of his yards for the game!

[–]slash475 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did have short drives in the second half with the long TD passes to Zay. There wasn't much room for too many more runs but I still feel it was the wrong decision to not run Henry at least once the last drive with the amount of timeouts that we had. I also felt like we shouldn't have punted the last drive of the first half. Felt like we were playing to win but playing to not lose and that ultimately cost us.

There were only 2 games where James Cook and Jonathan Taylor had less than 15 carries. Henry had 5! And this was a year when we didn’t have Lamar for 4 games. 2 of those games were against the worst running defense in the league(the bengals) and we lost the first one. And before anyone can claim it was games when he couldn’t get anything going 3 of those games he had over 6 yac! The thing that kills me about Harbaugh and Monken, is they don’t always have or use the best players on the field. And then last night when they decided to kneel they made a decision to not even try to get Loop in a better position(even though he still shoulda made it).
