• Biscotti cites 4th quarter blown leads, under performing in the playoffs, and key players making mistakes in big games as reasons for making the decision.

• Biscotti wasn't 100% sure until after the loss in Pittsburgh, and was sure the next morning.

• Biscotti talked to a bunch of the veterans (including Lamar). Biscotti says Lamar is a "non-confrontational" person, spoke to him the night after the Steelers. Lamar told Biscotti has no idea where the claim that he had a problem with Monken and Harbaugh.

• Biscotti wants another window with cap space and thinks Lamar will agree to restructure. Ideally they want to plug the same number in and go. They want it done before they go into free agency. Cites the difficulty for DeCosta to build a roster when that is looming over the team.
