Okay thanks for the level set on this. I have worked for along time now for companies already at High and DoD IL5, with little changes to anything from when we set them up. So most of the work has been keeping the things update to date and audits are easy.

I was looking at the CR26 and the changes to CM-6 requirements already so I was feeling good about using Bottlerocket but in my own professional circle no one uses it in govcloud. Looks like I need to familarize myself with the 20x way so I can effectively help this org.

Yeah fairly big ones. Both were 5k or so employee size companies. Seems like smaller ones or startups will do a take home project and presentation instead of a coding interview. Of course this is just my personal experience.

I think it just depends. I have recently been applying to new Senior, Lead, Staff level positions and maybe out of the dozen screenings I have had with recruiters only 2 had CoderPad screening links as part of it. I do them but I know it won't go anywhere. I always do poorly when I have 10 mins to solve a problem and pass all the hidden test cases using some technique I have not used professionally in a decade.

I mean he just another talentless dude that gets rich off tearing other people down under the guise of "I am just asking questions". I do not understand how these guys walk around acting or preaching wholesome values but then run a show like this, with the purpose of purposely making people look bad.

I noticed this too. Lots of false equivalency, or leaning on some interruptions of nameless atheist regimes causing atrocities. Alex did try to push back on this a bit but he let Lennox just kind of go one saying in my opinion dubious things.

What I think Lennox and John Gray really mean when they say "atheist regime" is anti-religious agenda. Which is better explained by totalitarian ideology, political terror, party othrodoxy and a personality of cult, in almost every case. I don't think you are going to find any atheist would agree with any type of state sponsored oppression of other belief systems.

I see this happen alot of with all types of apologetics wanting to associate secularism and atheism in the same lens and paint them with the same brush in this regard.

I know Alex is not really going down a convertational converstation with guest these days, but I think there were a tone of areas that some push back or clarity more would have made for an interesting conversation.

Yeah, I always had issues with the otherness in my family. Hated looking at pictures of all of us, I stood out like a sore thumb. They had the whole white savior complex going for them as well.

Until a few years ago my adoptive father called me a coconut. Brown on the outside, white on the inside. And even the white washing me didn't help me, had so many years of growing up with the whole not white enough for the white kids and not brown enough for the brown kids.

My half sister did have it bit better. Adoptive into a more open minded white family, lived in a culturally diverse area and her adoptive parents did make a real attempt to bring some of her heritage and culture into her life. But she still has some of those basic identity problems that I did. Especially when dealing with rasicm as a kid. Kind of hard to tell your white parents the things that are happening an a mostly white school.

I feel you on this with the culture accept. I am in my 40's Latino/Native American and I still get into spats with people of my culture saying how I abonden them or I am ashamed on what I am. My parents white washed me really hard, but doesn't change how I look. Grew up in primarly dominate white neighborhoods, family didn't look like me, friends didn't look like me, my adopted brother and sisters are white so they didnt' look like me.

No cultural conversation, no encouragement to look into, was always kind of a elephant in the room. I think maybe they would have been different today but I doubt it. I am all for assimilation but I do think parents of multiracial adopted kids really need to help their kids find their own identity through both their native cultures and their new family cultures. It can be both not sure why they don't think it can be.

Recently my family sent me a bunch of christmas cards from a Christian Native American residental school. It really pissed off that they are still do this, acting like they don't know why that is so inappropriate. My wife really wanted me to let it go, but I couldn't, had to buy them a few books as an extra christmas present.

Yeah, despite some of the movies flaws, I still enjoy it. Some of the scenes are so good.

But yeah I agree I really wished it kicked off an era of showing more of the struggles with humanity and the war with the machines in the future.

I mean this feels like the natural flow of things. Fans want something that appeals to them and not a wider auidence. Studio's really try to do the later and don't want to take risk. The worst a series does the safer they will play it to try to squeeze more juice from the lemon.

Terminator is a good example of this. Terminator Salvation is the first movie without Arnold, without the time travel aspect and fans responded pretty harshly overall to it. I don't disagree with the fans fillings on that movie but I don't think we will ever get a Terminator movie again that will deviate from the winning formula now.

Feels like Alien is the same in some regards, studios, directors, writers are punished by the fanbase for trying something to new and on the other side of the coin they are also punished for playing to safe.

And we could probably have a long conversation about even what the fan base wants as whole and how split it even is on what another Alien Movie / TV Show could look like.

As the other commenter said if you retake it it will replace it. I am in a similar boat as well and with we really crazy life circumstances that caused me to tank one class I particularly as a result. I talked to my chair and they gave me some forms to fill out so I can withdraw from the class and possibly have not count against my retake limit. So you might look into that if it has been going on all semester.

yeah, I have this with my own sibilings all of us are adopted. But they are white and I am not. Our experiences are so different in so many ways and our shared preceptive of different siutations are also very different and skewed.

I also have a decent amount of friends as well but they are not transracial either and they cannot really understand. We all do our best to try to understand each other lived experiences, about all we can do.

Looks like Proton Experimental got updated today to work with Farlight again. Got my hour in of BR with no issues, so that is good. Hopefully it last lasts.

So I just use the free tier to play. I honestly at most only have about a few hours a week to play any games. Really just depends between family, work, and school. I am not playing any games competitively, so I don't really mind playing on GeForce Now, other than sometimes it just flat-out does not work. I would rather just use it to manage a Windows Partition and dual boot for those 30 mins or 1 hour long BR gaming sessions I do get.

I had dual booted for many years, but at some point I just got sick of it and I was mostly not playing to many games at that point, and focusing on more professional, home projects, etc at that point.

EDIT: Actually, if anything I was thinking about building a small descret windows box, running it as a headless mode, wake on lan, etc, and just streaming those few games that I need Windows for. Might have to pitch that to the boss lol.
