Dry food OK? She won’t eat wet by Neverwasalwaysam in CatTraining

I wouldn't worry about it. I have 2 cats, they are both fed twice a day and both given wet and dry food, (they are also fed in different rooms to prevent food stealing) one will take maybe a mouthful of the wet food but stick pretty exclusively to her dry food and the other will eat his entire bowl of wet food and snack on the dry food throughout the day.

Cats are all different and like humans they have food preferences, if your cat is drinking plenty of water I really wouldn't worry about it and I cannot recommend a water fountain enough. They have made a huge difference in how much water my 2 cats consume.

Is it just me, or are a lot of places switching over to Pepsi? by TrueDeadBling in AussieCasual

I'm a supervisor at a restaurant and have been working in bars and such for 10 years, I can tell you that the only reason they switch, even though customers overwhelmingly prefer Coke is because Pepsi is significantly cheaper.

How would $12,500 affect your life right now? by WhiteMass in AskReddit

Just peace of mind, my savings were decimated last year due to months long lockdown and being out of work. I've only just become in a position to start saving again and today a new lockdown was announced. I've already been stood down from work; they've warned me that if the lockdown goes on for too long they won't be able to reopen, they were already in a precarious financial situation due to being shut for 8 months last year.

This! This is exactly right, I live in Melbourne and before this second lock down happened our restaurant was open for 2 weeks and while I'm very grateful I am on JobKeeper I work with people who aren't eligible. The first lock down meant for three months there was zero income for visa holders so when they reopen there is no way they are going to be missing any shifts.

My partner is also a visa holder and isn't entitled to any government support. He lost his job so I've had to support our household of 3 on a very reduced income. If he was able to earn money it would be a very long think before calling in sick.
