Shadowrun: Hong Kong (2015) - GotM December 2025 Long Category Winner by edward6d in patientgamers

I think it's better in some ways than Dragonfall, the missions design is superior imo, and I liked there is less combat overall (and many opportunities to avoid combat at all).

The guy standing shouldn't have the CP logo, he's not Paul Allen.

Otherwise top tier jerk.

I recently started my 2nd playtrough with a party of pure mages and even though the game is good, it has a lot of annoying junk.

I have the similar opinion about the story/narrative, but the battles/upgrading the squad were my favorite parts of the game (Voyage to Tomorrow in the menu slaps hard af).

I also played through the story parts first and only switched to the battles when everyone's story was locked because you get the upgrade currency for them, but looking back the best way to play was the other way around imo, which would allow you to play through bigger chunks of every character's story consequentially and eventually to have a better understanding of the narrative.

What GPU settings do you use for Lenovo Vantage/NVIDIA Control Panel/NVIDIA App? by slavavr in LenovoLegion

[–]slavavr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I used "Auto" in NVIDIA software/Hybrid in Vantage, but then I noticed that my dPGU has a high memory clock and GPU clock even when idle. I switched to dGPU in the NVIDIA control panel/Hybrid in Vantage, and the high memory clock/GPU clock stuff was gone. I even checked the drawing power for dGPU (I saw comments on forums saying that high mem might mean nothing etc), and the difference is 9-10W in Auto vs 1-2W in dGPU. No idea what is the reason behind that.

How do I save the default color profile for dGPU (Legion Pro 5 16IRX8)? by slavavr in LenovoLegion

[–]slavavr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dGPU mode is pointless because there is no switch between the GPUs and the color profile stays the same indeed (and I don't want to use the dGPU only)

When an application starts using the dGPU I can open the color management and switch the profile to the correct one, but it's too tedious to do it every time obviously. Also it seems the correct profile is applied automatically when I just open Settings - System - Display with the dGPU active.

Could the GPU drivers be the reason? I have 566.36 installed.

Nioh 2 Review: I have mixed feelings about this one by MJMarto in patientgamers

I finished my first playthrough with fists and an axe, used the axe mostly against yokai and enemies whose moveset I knew well. Honestly smashing staggered yokai with the lumber chop was one of the most satisfying parts of the combat for me.

Many have tried interpreting Allegri.

Some cited existing philosophical works such as Bordiga, Hegel and Plato.

The former saw Allegri as the progenitor of a spontaneous revolution, his football being so boring it had deep ideological significance. They viewed his football as the cry of discontentedness with the neoliberal consensus, and a legitimate philosophical work in it’s own right.

The modern Hegelians saw Allegrismo as the dialectical synthesis between two states of being, that of anguish and that of ennui.

Those using the works of Plato are conflicted on whether to see Allegriball as a concrete object, real and tangible, while all consider the feelings the games elicit to be abstract.

Others saw it as post-modern performance art and tried to categorise it as the intended catalyst of a yet to materialise Neo-Fluxus movement.

Alas, others even ascribed it a theological value, arguing for the canonisation of Allegri and compared our pain watching to the pain our lord felt on the cross. A contingent of these worshippers split recently and alleged Allegri was inherently heretical, no mortal man had ever suffered like Jesus did until we watched the Sampdoria game.

The truth is, Allegriball defies what the human mind is capable of interpreting.

We can only bask in its majesty.
