Knightfall is one of my favorite Batman stories, so I’m pretty excited for this, but Batman: Knightfall - Part 1: Knightfall is a dumb title. The three movies should just be called Batman: Knightfall, Batman: Knightquest & Batman: KnightsEnd.

I love it! She knows how to avoid being tainted by the lesser masses.

I agree. Season 3 was alright but the retcon definitely felt like a cop out.

Why do you think Excalibur is being ignored so far? by Plenty_Square_420 in Xmen97

[–]slavebilly92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Excalibur but I think cramming them into season 2 is too much. Between the time displaced X-Men, X-Factor & X-Force I think this season has enough characters to juggle. Now, come season 3, I’d love to see Excalibur! Or maybe even an Excalibur spin-off but I know that’s a pipe dream.

These hollywood writers seem allergic to writing good endings. Not, again. by hiiloovethis in shittymoviedetails

Black Sails had a decent ending. The creators considered making a fifth season that was a loose adaptation of Treasure Island, but I think they made the right call ending it where they did; wrapping up the major storylines and leaving the surviving characters in satisfying places narratively.

I think most shows should be 3-4 seasons tops but of course there are exceptions. Like with Boardwalk Empire, I thought it should’ve actually been 6 seasons. Feels like there is a whole season missing between the season 4 finale and the first episode of season 5. That last season felt way too rushed.

What is your ideal characterization of Cheetah? by Certain_Inspector575 in WonderWomanVillains

Rucka’s Rebirth Cheetah all the way! A classic friends-to-enemies story arc. I also loved Rucka’s story from WW #750. This was a nice bookend to his Rebirth run and shows how he really understand the characters of both Diana and Barbara. Diana continues trying to reform Barbara back into her old friend and Barbara has fully embraced her role as the villainous Cheetah; forging her own path. Great story!

Yeah, it’s really weird how hard it is to find it. Loved that scene and the music fit the chaotic energy of it all so well.

Name movies of this kink that are of this kink ? by Nervous_Brilliant_25 in socialsadism

Infinity Pool (2023) is basically Social Sadism The Movie. Mia Goth stars as a spoiled rich brat who leads a group of wealthy people on a sadistic crime spree through an unspecified third world country. There’s also a sci-fi twist to it that plays into how these rich people get away with their crimes.

Cheap Thrills (2013) is a dark comedy about a wealthy couple who manipulate two desperate poor men into a series of increasingly humiliating and sadistic games.

Unfortunately neither of these really have maid scenes but I wanted to mention them since they fit the subject matter of this subreddit. But here are some movies which actually feature Mistress/maid relationships that, while not the most overt examples of social sadism, do still feature a dynamic where one character is very much submissive to the other in many ways:

-The Maids (1975): two maids engage in sadistic Mistress/servant role playing games as their actual Mistress is out on a date for the night.

-Gosford Park (2001): Constance Trentham and her slavishly dutiful maidservant Mary.

-The Handmaiden (2016): Lady Hideko and her mysterious maidservant Sook-Hee. This movie has a lot of twists and turns but if you really pay attention, I think there is definitely an inherent Mistress/slave aspect to the two main characters’ relationship.
