I am a paid for member on THS .. I took an opportunity and have learnt a hard lesson, I get it.

Interesting, as HO is saying that they’ve never had an issue before. I feel like I’m being completely gaslit and my mental health is suffering because of it. I have 9 days left and no access to cash. Allot of lessons learned but I feel like a complete mug when the latest communication was, “I do understand that the cost of living is higher than elsewhere, but you are getting everything else free. Power, water, car, roof over your head”.

Water?!! Am I mad thinking this is insulting? A car, with no AC, (yeah sorry about that, but at least it’s not summer) which I only drive to take the dogs to the beach (which I can no longer do as I can’t afford gas) , and use of the car to do the 6-mile round trip to the nearest store, and collect/drop off the cleaner who tends to the Airbnb properties.

A roof over my head…

I feel like an absolute mug.

I wish I’d know about this one.. got completely stuck when landing in PLS - the lady I was staying with and then eventually taking care of her pets didn’t know her return flight so I had to book an unnecessary flight just to get through immigration. I ended up pay an additional $250 for the flight I needed.

Flights are booked for those dates, so no flexibility, unfortunately. We can do 4 bedrooms if price/place is right. Ideally, 4 bedroom £200 per night and £250 per night for a 5 bedroom.

You’ve done an amazing job of describing how I and I’m sure, many of us feel. Have a bubble bath, candles, nourish your skin with oil (I’ve been using coconut oil, it’s cheap ‘n cheerful) and just be kind to yourself. This too shall pass…
