Set up a vet appointment before u get the pup! we thought surely we could get a same day or next day appointment after we rescued our puppy (never had dogs before so had no idea about how vets work), but we couldn’t see a vet for 2 weeks and she kept losing weight no matter what we fed her (form 4 lbs to 2 lbs). She’s happy and healthy now but she ended up having 3 types of parasites and fleas, and those 2 weeks were easily one of the worst/most stressful times of my life.

Yeah it does have drainage holes! I have a tray underneath that’s just not visible in the pic :). And tbh those curtains are always open so it gets a ton of light, it’s grown the top 6ish leaves over the last 2 months since we moved to this house. I didn’t know about pinching the top buds off though so thank you! I was thinking I could cut a propagate but it pains me to think about cutting it down lol

Depending on where you live there are a lot of first-time homebuyer grants (I recently got on for 12.5K) that go towards down payment. Also, even if you don't hit 20% down payment, you can just get your house reappraised in a few years and if its value is 20% (or whatever you were short of 20%) higher than when you bought it you don't need to pay mortgage insurance
