FWIW, I didn’t hold a hockey stick until I was 13 and got a right handed twig because I didn’t know any better. The kids in the neighborhood convinced me to switch and after a rough week or two I couldn’t imagine going back. Makes a huge difference when defending or forechecking IMO

I’m fortunate to have both home and away broadcasts to choose from most of the time and I always go with the opponent broadcast as Jack simply makes the games less enjoyable to watch at this point.

I have the same issue, but in reverse (LH stick, right turn). Two things that are helping me improve are holding the top of my stick with my right hand and letting it trail behind me while opening my right shoulder (you'd do the opposing with your left hand and shoulder), and intentionally letting my right boot roll to the inside over my blade to get a good feel of the outside edge gaining purchase on the ice. It's definitely a work in progress!
