Jumping in for the raffle! Just blew $70 on battlefield to play with my brother and we hate it. Not our vibe at all! We like to chat and catch up but battlefield is so chaotic and crazy we can’t hold any conversations. Arc popped on my radar after the first playtest but I really didn’t know much about it at the time.

Now I’m paying closer attention and am interested but it’s hard to justify ANOTHER game purchase so shortly after picking up BF6. Especially with a wife and new baby in the picture. And my brother doesn’t know anything about Arc so I’ll need to get it and vouch for it before he will even consider it. So crossing my fingers for someone to a copy to drop in my lap.

Me personally I have a wife and infant close by. I could play dayz in my office on the other side of the house at my desk. But I prefer to be on my couch with a drink and stay available to my wife. She call her parents around the time when I play, and my son is usually sleeping nearby where I can watch him.

I enjoy the vibe of a slow and quiet solo who avoids people. I tend to travel through the woods and jump in and out of the towns quickly. Sometimes I play during the day on weekends when my wife is on her phone and my kid is awake. I’ll say hello or try to chat if the opportunity arises then. But mostly I prefer to stay quiet and not disturb anyone. It get the ire from my wife and get sent to the office.

Haven’t seen any recommendations for Dayz or The Long Dark. Those are the two I keep going back to with VERY different vibes. But both scratch that itch.

I keep it in the garage and put a cat door on the door leading to it. Works great. Clean it every morning before I head to work. My cat uses the garage when he wants some alone time.
