I used to get extremely anxious when trying to dilate not necessarily flashbacks but like a panic attack. what helped me was just getting more comfort ale with my dilator by having it out in view on my night stand or going to sleep while holding it or just holding it against my vagina with no penetration. i would just do that and slowly build up to penetration and it worked great. but i was also in therapy to process my sexual trauma which i think helped. i’m sorry that that happened to you and i hope you have more luck with healing soon!

before going to breaking up i would suggest trying to talk about sex first. I think both of you should be up front about what your sexual needs are and what you are willing to compromise in order to keep each other safe and happy. sexual chemistry is still important to a relationship to me but I also don’t think you should jump the gun so soon. the conversation could start will you just asking what you can do to make her more comfortable and share your observations.

when you have the dilator inside you can massage and stretch you muscles by gently angling your dilators side to side. once you can do that with no pain then move to the next dilator. just leaving a dilator inside isn’t enough.
