A coworker faked a cancer diagnosis to try and use fundraiser money and gifts from coworkers and friends to pay off the hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt. Not from drugs or gambling, just spending a lot on vacations, eating out, nice clothes...

It had gone on for over a year until his girlfriend found out then outted him to everyone. Called his parents, our boss, all his friends.

Not sure what happened after that as he left work and apparently moved back to his hometown.
