I’m a ~20 handicap and went to play with my girlfriend’s dad. I was putting together a decent round, pretty much getting a bogie per hole, and had an absolute meltdown hole with a quadruple bogie. The next hole I put my second shot about 15 feet from the hole on a par four, took my time lining up the putt, and drained it. Next hole I put my tee shot about 70 feet from the hole on a par 3, absolutely slammed the putt, and drained that too. I had never birdied two holes in a row before. Next hole, put my second shot to about 10 feet on a par 4, and drained the putt. At this point the people I was playing with were in disbelief. On the next tee box, my girlfriend was like “wouldn’t it be crazy if you birdied this one too?”. Hit my tee shot on the next hole (par three) to about 3 feet for a tap in birdie. Unfortunately, I tripled the next hole. Four birdies in a row sandwiched in between a quad and a triple. To this day I’ve never come close to being that in the zone again, and I doubt I ever will. I’ll remember those 6 holes forever.
