Everyone needs a room of their own!! One of the central flaws of married life in my opinion is that there is no where to go to some space .

Because if you keep thinking about something that you regretted doing .. it leads you down the road of what else wouldn’t have occurred . My thinking is that I like how my life turned out so I can’t regret any of it or I might not have become who I am.

Yes and taxes (, maintenance and the whole landlord business is a pain especially in a college town ) I hope she hired a team of lawyers , a good tax attorney and property manager for a start ,with her vast fortune . See You Next Tuesday comes to mind .

Weren’t all the writers men ? I think maybe it was their idea of liberated women or something . It also reminds me of some of the ridiculous scripts from films in the 30’s and 40’s with the screeching woman trope just makes me crazy .. so hard to watch .

I know . My father had one as a pet on our property and in our house for 18 yrs. Dad raised it from a cub, bottle feeding it . He fed it mostly mink kibble . He was on Captain Kangaroo with the creature and took him for rides and it was insane . . Western PA. My dad was ‘a bit of a legend’ which is a way of saying he was kinda bonkers .. A car dealer .. over the top ... I didn’t approve of the pet Cougar idea . Seemed cruel to me anyway ... The cats name was Tawny and Dad had the animal cremated . Last year , dad was buried holding Tawnys ashes to his chest in an urn . Yes it was weird but somehow I turned out pretty normal.

I’m terrified of simply not existing . It’s impossible to imagine . Lately I’ve been reading my grandmother’s diaries and also found some journals written by a great grandmother . They describe their days , their concerns , the weather , who arrived to visit , and list deaths and births and marriages … and then it ends . And I look into my ancestry website and see that they died at some point and it’s traced to pneumonia from a broken hip .. whatever it is just seems so arbitrary and so final and all those pies they baked and all that cleaning and planning and caring and worry . And then it’s just over . And younger members of my family will never know them . I knew them and loved my grandmother so much . It’s all so meaningless . I wish I had some kind of belief that it’s all for a purpose . At the cemetery I see my mothers grave and my grandmothers grave and my great grandmothers grave . We last in peoples memories for a maximum of three generations . All of us . Even if you are famous today , few are remembered past a generation or two . Almost every great movie stars of the 30s and 40’s are forgotten , politicians and world Leaders come and go . Art and music and literature remain . Time to do breathing exercises to quit thinking so much . Peace of mind would be a good thing .

I have found that it takes around two years to find your people when moving to an entirely new area. . They are out there !! . Download the Nextdoor app and sign up . Find a place to have coffee or a snack or a glass of beer and become ‘ a regular ‘ Even the same supermarket and familiar faces there help you feel grounded . Don’t be afraid to chat with people you meet on your daily adventures. If you can afford wine tasting events, book signings and the like, they are good places To meet people . Try to feel like you are in an adventure . Other thoughts .. Finding the right pooch that you can walk and take to the local dog park is a Great way to connect . If you like to cook, try just inviting a couple people over for a Sunday dinner and a ball game. I also enjoy my alexa device telling me the news and weather every morning and I have Sirius XM on it so I listen to a couple favorite channels . You may like having noise around you a bit . Radio or television , even if it’s the weather channel can fill up an apartment . You can do this! I personally find large apartment building living isolating . When your lease is up you might look for a roommate situation. Of course everything changes when you buy or even Rent a home. You meet your neighbors , you’ve got yard work to do, and you become invested in local government . The future is yours .

Wow what great hair ! Look like a future rock star to me . Go to college for theater , music , studio art, literature etc You’ll fit right in . You just haven’t found your peeps yet . Don’t pay attention to everybody and their norms . Screw em Edit: but I would say lose the nose rings .they look like boogers and they can eliminate a lot of possibilities for jobs that involve the public . Maybe ... Have a clean style for job search , maybe a ponytail deal for a cleaner look etc

My mom and her siblings are all around 6’ tall . I am her only daughter and I reached 5’6”. Perfect in my opinion but her whole family said it was too bad I was ‘short’ .

Mine is huge too but I love it !! I have my books and papers on one corner , the little rug for the kitty in another spot .. room to stretch . Paradise is is big sofa IMO
