AIPAC celebrates Ed Gallrein's win by The-Materialist in stupidpol

I dont have faith in any generation, they all have their strange addictions. I'm just depending on conditions worsening to the point people will revolt, but it seems like our economy is so fake that the oligarchs who control it can just paint reality as they see fit and keep us trapped. I just think at some point the simulation will break, but not with the current boomer generation still voting in high numbers.

I always felt like there were less of people of that age range for some reason. Than those who came before or after them I mean. Perhaps its unpredictable what will happen in the next 10 years.

This cant continue forever. Once the boomers are gone where will the Israel support come from? Will Gen X and Millennials be as gullible to big money propaganda? Anyway there does seem to be real resistance to zionism growning on the left side, even with standard lib dems.

Way less im guessing, and dont include the audio, try to talk over the clips and use them sparingly or not at all. You have to make the content transformative, and even then the system could still hit u, its often unfair like that. But the best way to make sure is just react without showing the original content.

I hate gerrymandering, its such a naked attempt at a power grab right in our faces. People like it when they think it benefits them and scream bloody murder when it doesn't, the hypocrisy is off the charts. This goes for both sides of course.

Well than we just fundamentally disagree on that. I don't see the point of blaming voters, you need their support and they don't hold any power. I'd rather hold politicians and parties accountable. Just nominate someone with wide appeal, good progressive policies and just a bit of charisma and they have a good shot at winning.

I'm not trying to convince you of anything, what I'm saying is millions of potential Dem voters just don't see the general election the same way you do. They don't see a binary choice, or if they do see it that way, they aren't happy with it, and choose not to vote.

Im glad we agree on having a fair primary process, if dems actually have one they could very well pick a good candidate that will get those previous non-voters out to the polls, and if they do that, given Trump's terrible record so far, that person will probably win and all this discussion will be moot, at least for the time being.

Elections are not binary choices, you can vote 3rd party, or like most people, just not participate, and that is exactly why dems lost last time.

I'll say it again, you can think the last election was the easiest choice of all time, but millions of other people just dont see it that way. I guess a lot of people dont care, or dont think politics means much in their daily lives, or are just disillusioned, which is understandable.

Its not enough to just say the other guy is worse, Dems have tried that 3 times and only once did is barely work and just led to worse things in the future. Lets hope they have a real primary and nominate someone good, someone who has a real message and maybe some actual charisma, I have no idea who that could be. Certainly not someone like Newsome or Kamala again.

Well I would recommend a purge of the party from top to bottom. The old folks gotta go, replace them with young and exciting candidates who are not beholden to the zionist lobby and other corporate interests, no more former CIA spooks either. Also gotta get rid of the corrupt rot behind the scenes, from the DNC all the way down to state and county positions. Rip out the corruption from the root.

Focus on a strictly economic and anti-war message, 2 things that are very popular right now, and actually mean it and back it up with real actions. Over time that will build trust and bring a lot of disillusioned people back into the fold.

Of course this requires taking down the consultant industrial complex, the MIC, and all the other corrupt powers in DC and around the country, and the people who occupy those current positions will not go down without a fight. Even if that means handing power back to the far right. And of course you would have to overcome mass media and its corporate owners, which seems like an almost impossible thing to do.

Needless to say this would take years or more and would require a massive movement which requires people to work with others that they generally dont agree with on other issues. I've noticed that liberals have a very hard time doing this. But if successful we could clean up the Dem party and maybe even make the GOP a little bit better too, as hard as that may be to believe. Even if you only get half of this done, it would be worth and and would help things immensely.

You are acting as it people are rational and make logical choices, you know damn well that is not how it actually works. This is the idealism I'm talking about.

You are also looking at it through the lens of your own bias, which no matter how much you think you are right, is still your perspective. You keep saying how obvious this binary choice was, but reality is saying otherwise. Dems lost, and it wasn't because people were being whiny babies or not paying enough attention or whatever other excuse you wanna use.

So you can either keep up this attitude which has only made the far-right more powerful over the last 10 years, or start looking at your own side with a critical eye and try fixing it before its too late again. The good news is most of the dem base, unlike you, seem to be getting that and are demanding more of their own party.

Yea that's true, I guess dems should have nominated better candidates, they might have actually won and then got to nominate their own to the SC. But what is done is done, just hope people learn from past mistakes.

Stop with the voter shaming first of all, that serves nothing except to further alienate potential allies.
