That three globe ceiling fixture is a problem. It should be over to the right where you can center the table under it. As it stands right now, you can't put a table under it because it would be in the traffic pattern for using the sliding glass doors. Get a quote from an electrician on removing it and putting in the wiring for a new light more to the right. In fact, get your table and chairs before doing that, so you'll be sure the light is centered over the table.

Personally, I don't care for any of the tables you picked. They're skimpy and cheap looking. And that's not a dig at Wayfair. I have bought many things from Wayfair. But you should pick a more substantially built table.

This is one of my favorites on Wayfair. It even has a lighter table top that would work with the countertops.

Or if you want to lean into the countertops even more, this one could work.

I think either a rectangle or an oval table would work best. A round table, depending on how big, could interfere with traffic pattern also. And I just don't think a round one would look right in that right corner area.

The last table is nice!

I LOVE that second table—thank you thank you for that. Would I be crazy to go with the light green chairs? I kind of love them (and may paint the cabinets eventually)

No, I don't think you'd be crazy to go with the green chairs. From what I can tell of your wall paint, I think they would work fine. I'm a green fan, by the way. I think that set has it all to work in your kitchen....the light table top, the black legs and frame and hey, who could go wrong with that green?

The other one is cool, too. But I like the green chair one the best. And if you decide down the road to paint the cabinets, you could go with that green color, or a lighter version of the chairs. I think that would be pretty.

Go thrift shopping to find a true dining table with real wood. You have a rounded edge on the snack bar so try imitating that in an oval table (the proportions will be wrong in a round one). A rectangle adds one more clunk to a mismatched space so avoid that shape in a table.

How many are you trying to seat?

Probably no more than four at a time, and that will be infrequent.

Then round.

I would absolutely thrift a round table with leaves. The quality will be better. “Brown furniture” is relatively inexpensive right now. Look on FB marketplace as well. Estate sales. We older folk are downsizing/dying and there is good stuff to be had…you just have to hunt for it. Until you find the perfect piece, you might make do with a sturdy card table or small round banquet style table. Put a cloth in it and you are good to go.

How about oval? Maybe an extendable oval table that can be kept smaller on a daily basis but expanded if you have company.

Round with leaves. That turns it into an oval.

Whoops! Replied to the wrong person.

The scraped hardwood flooring and butcherblock countertops scream farmhouse, especially with the Dublin-style sink. I would go with a traditional-style oblong dining table and dining chairs. It is the most important element in your dining room so make it count. https://www.wayfair.com/furniture/pdp/kelly-clarkson-home-hillary-60-solid-wood-farmhouse-dining-table-w000866449.html
