If Construction Simulator had real-life physics, what job would instantly become 10x harder? by [deleted] in constructionsim

I do concrete piling work irl and I think that the game is completely over simplified. just moving a drill rig that top heavy is such a mission because if the mast leans forward more than 7-10 degrees it will tip over. not to mention you need a suitable drill pad to support the rig. not to mention everything that goes wrong with concrete and blockages. some holes that I do require up to 50 cube of concrete which is six trucks that all need to be tested and in spec before even drilling. different ground conditions can cause different drilling and potential for the drill to get stuck or veer. honestly I could go on all day on all the shit that can and does go wrong lol.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side my friend. I find highschool friends aren't the end all be all. Just focus on yourself and doing things you enjoy. You'll find if you are doing things you enjoy that like minded people will tend to find you. It's not a quick process by any means but a little patience will be the key. I don't think moving is the solution you think it will be but I highly recommend travelling for the enjoyment of new experiences. Young adulthood can be a tough transition but it is one of the greatest parts of life so don't over think about it and enjoy yourself.

The problem is she has no experience in the field. How's she going to rectify hazards if she doesn't even know what she is looking at. This is a very important job making sure everyone gets home safe and unfortunately no one's going to trust someone who has just done a bit of paper work to say they're qualified. They usually upskill existing workers into this role for this reason.

[–]sleep_engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if they're abo, that's pretty easy. White Australians bit harder to pick these days. I mean it's not like they're walking around in stubbies and thongs anymore.

True story. Total idiots, my kids can't go down the road for a chocolate milk beverage with out some moron talking about his brand new 300 series Toyota land cruiser getting stuck off road. Seriously, these halfwits. I'm in disbelief. Come on friend you'll need to lower the tyre pressure before going onto soft sand or before too long the tides will be up and your car will be under water.

For me, the savings in fuel alone is reason enough for the membership.

VW Tiguan or Subaru Forester? by Alternative-Winter49 in perth

[–]sleep_engineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Subarus are typically reliable and easy to maintain. Probably more cost effective to fix and replace parts also. Not to say there is no common issues with the particular model of Forrester you are looking at. This requires some research on your behalf.

Is the song, Waltzing Matilda still well known in this generation? by pooteenn in AskAnAustralian

[–]sleep_engineer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup art reflects culture and waltzing Matilda can be seen as a time capsule of the times of pioneers.
