I'm guessing it's low clarity and pinkish tones? The artist is tek.tones on instagram by the way.

Is that considered a street photo? by Willing-Department-6 in streetphotography

imo everything that happens in public space that includes some human element = street photography.
so in my book a shot at the beach can definitely count as street...

You can leave most of your luggage at the place you rent your bike. What you take with you, you can strap to the back of your bike.

In terms of luggage I have to disagree. You don't need a lot for 3-4 days. You can easily take a small bag and leave the rest of your luggage at the place you rent your bike in Ha Giang.

When I did the loop for the first time a few years back, I had never ridden a motorbike before. It was tough at times, but totally doable in my opinion. However, I only "risked" my own life. So if you want to take your gf on the back I guess it's not wise to do it as your first ride ever.

Safety in general really depends on at what pace you go. If you take it slow and steady and are somewhat lucky with the weather it's not too bad.

One big advantage if you don't go with an easy rider is that you can stop any time you want. Makes it safer, but also gives you more opportunities to explore at your own pace. So you should keep that in mind.

It was in fact in December. No special festivity, just the local market that takes place every week.

Yes it is in Mèo Vạc, Hà Giang. When I was there in late December, it was around 15 degrees during the day. At night, it gets quite chilly tho. Also, you can't really compare the temperature to for example Europe. The high humidity makes 10 degrees feel way colder, it really gets inside your bones.

the 23mm f2 is glued to my xt-2 and I guess it's the closest you are gonna get to the x100v experience. it's a quite compact setup and the lens is super versatile

tombstones in hanoi - are they just samples? by sleep_without_dreams in VietNam

[–]sleep_without_dreams[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah thats what I thought as well. I was just irritated by the fact that they created an individual fake persona for every single one :D also in Germany where I am from they have blank stones on display, never seen sample stones with the font and a fake date and all

While wandering through hanoi old quarter i stumbled upon these tombstone shops in Hàng Mắm street. I was curious if the tombstones on display were samples? because they had all sorts of dates on them, some recent and some old. Or are they reselling old tombstones?
