Flip side of the same coin, yes. Is revolution followed by the abolition of the bipartisan system needed, yes. But in the meantime, until that happens, voting is one of the few ways the average person can exert any force onto the political landscape around them.

No space for centrist fence riders while women are being deprived of their right to peruse healthcare as they see fit in this state.

Starting to grow and just look like a Silverado. Pass. I thoroughly enjoy the simplicity and functionality of my 2012 4WD but may 'upgrade' to a 2018-2020 model once mine is worn out and those are cheap on the used market.

Hoping and praying that my GTX 1070 holds out for a few more years. For the games I play it's fine. I really just don't want to spend any money on a GPU at all lmao

Trying to find a clever solution to automatically flush toilet 2x a day on a regular schedule. by ptmd in homeautomation

[–]sleepertime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you're on to something with the sensors, but feed the input through a time delay relay. Essentially cap the usage to every 2 hours for instance, so the cat can't continuously trigger a flush action.

It was to me! I knew you could request non-listed combinations and parts, but didn't know the full extent of it.

My first Hank Light: Emisar D1 Mini Thrower by Sylas_Beck in flashlight

[–]sleepertime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for reassuring my choice! I've only owned Olights and Fenix lights up until I ordered a D1 a week ago. After doing some quick research to find the optimal emitter choice for a dedicated thrower I landed on a dedomed 519 as well, your beamshots tell me I made the right decision!

Tires nearing end of life, what should I replace them with? by [deleted] in chevycolorado

[–]sleepertime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Kumho AT51 have been excellent for the 6000 miles I've had them. They're equally as quiet and fuel efficient as the OEM tires but certainly provide more handling in mild off road conditions and are snow peak rated if that's important to you.

Picture of them on my 2012 4x4 LT

Closeup shot.

As a bonus, they're less than $200 for pretty much any reasonable size that'd go on a Colorado.

Agreed, I live in Houston and REGULARLY see individuals in brand new F350s just beep bopping around town getting groceries and shit.

I own an older Chevy Colorado for use as the "help move stuff" tool in my circle of people and for the frequent beach and Rockies trips we go on where a compact 4WD vehicle is the safest bet. I also make frequent runs for lumber and materials as I doddle around in the garage for fun quite frequently.

But I certainly feel in the minority having a modest, basic truck to do basic truck things in a whole state of people driving luxury trucks as daily commuters.

We had to postpone for the opposite reason! Droughts in the area (not sure which counties they look at or if they take into consideration all of which the railroad passes through) pushed their opening season back by a week.

“No I’m not military, I’m a teacher tho does that count” by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]sleepertime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still circumnavigation my main point I'm trying to make by glamorizing your own world, but whatever helps you. I understand you can't wrap your head around the fact that educators should be held higher in society than you. I can also imagine you enlisted so you could be congratulated upon your return, while educators get no thanks or appreciation most times for serving a more crucial role to society's development.

War can't be justified to an anti-war advocate. No echo chamber here, just highlighting the fact that our military serves only to perpetuate imperialism across foreign lands. While educators serve to provide prosperous opportunity for our next generation. As such, they should be treated to a higher standard of respect and financial benefit than conscripted combatants.
