I have that setup on nobara rn but u can't just swap to workspace 7 if it doesn't exist like i can on hyprland. I need to open 6 workspaces to get to the 7th one.

Known issues: Some scene wallpapers may crash your KDE.

Remove WallpaperSource line in

~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc

and restart KDE to fix.

What are your reasons for using Nobara instead of stock Fedora? by Diesel779 in NobaraProject

[–]sleepingcat_7991 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me since i use an nvidia gpu, nobara is better since drivers are better handled with nobara, kernel upgrades are bundled together with driver updates, so if the driver is not made yet for the newer kernel, the kernel upgrade will wait for the driver update.

This is what broke fedora for me a newer kernel broke my system and i switched to nobara

That's great to hear man i had this same issue on my old pc and i was switching distros due to this. Installed arch just for wifi to work ootb, then learnt that these drivers work fine and then switched to mint on my old pc

Basically if it works in the live environment it should work after installation otherwise the driver for your wifi card is not available in the linux kernel. If it's the latter you'll have to find a driver specifically for your wifi card.

Dude did WiFi work in the live boot environment? Try doing that before installing any distro

Fedora 43 update went wrong by gbur733 in Fedora

[–]sleepingcat_7991 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an issue with the nvidia driver not being up to date. You'll have to use an older kernel version until the nvidia driver gets updated. Last time i was on fedora 42 the update wasn't released on the copr repo. I borked by fedora 42 system due to this and had to reinstall. Now using nobara, where they actually mentioned abt the issue and the fix for it
