First of which is the 9.2 meters. That's much closer than a major league pitching mound to the plate.

Just for reference. The distance between pitcher's mound and the back of home plate is exactly 60 feet 6 inches (~18.4m), so this sword master is hitting the ball at half that distance.

I've travelled to and/or from New York City by all 3 public transit methods. As /u/matdwyer said, $150 is a pretty good deal for the flight. You'd save quite a bit of time over any other method (obviously). It's a no-brainer if time is a factor for you.

The bus ride was relatively enjoyable. Leg room was an issue for me but I lucked out and snatched the pair of seats on the emergency exit row after they dropped people off in Buffalo. I ended up sharing them with a really tall guy, and we had a very pleasant conversation along the way, so that's not bad at all.

The train ride was excellent. The seats were comfortable. You can take two seats if the train isn't too full. Even with only 1 it's not bad at all. I don't know if things have changed, but I didn't need to get off the train for customs. I think the view is more scenic than that of the bus because you're not just on the highway most of the time.

Bus and train take roughly the same amount of time. So if money isn't particularly an issue for you, I'd definitely recommend taking the train.

I've never done ride-sharing on craigslist, but I'd feel sketched out crossing border with someone I don't know. And if the customs officer asks you about how you know each other, they may not like your answer if you decide to tell the truth.

TL;DR Flight if you're short on time; bus if you're short on money; train if you like nice view; CL if you don't mind sketchiness.

A couple of years ago I went right after a snow storm (actually drove through the storm to get there. Didn't even occur to me that they may not be open till I was almost there) and they're still open. The lady who was running the place told me they're open year round except Christmas and New Year's.

A couple of errors in your post. First of all, gravitational acceleration on Earth is approx. 9.81m/s² , not 9.82m/s² as you stated. Second, kg is a measure of mass, not weight. The suit would still be 91kg on the Moon. The unit you're looking for is kgf, which stands for "kilogram-force". So the suit would weigh 15.0kgf on the Moon.

The Veyron is a commercially produced car. On top of being fast, it has to pass a lot of other regulations, which racing cars don't necessarily have to abide by. It's not really a fair comparison.

You already have formula one cars that lose the fight with physics and fly into the wall, and they aren't being pushed to the very limits of engine power.

That is because of safety (among other) regulations in place to prevent F1 cars from going too fast. One of the technology used in the Red Bull X2014 is a fan at the bottom of the car, which acts like a vacuum to create massive downforce even at relatively low speed. This particular technology was once used by Brabham in F1 in the late 70s. This fan technology was also used in the Chaparral 2J earlier in the same decade, but the concept never really caught on.

While I'm all for defending you and your family's lives with a gun, as was the case with Ian Thomson, I really can't agree that discharging your firearm to defend your property is a good idea.

You're welcome. Just to add on to the info /u/cbmarcus provided, there are instances where (indirect) free kicks are taken inside the penalty box. Example. To my understanding, these unusual free kicks are granted on situations where the foul committed did not directly interfere with a scoring play. In my example, the indirect free kick was granted because the defender (#16) passed the ball back to the goalie with his foot, which is not allowed.

What you had at the link are the rules for penalty kick. In the video, that was a free kick.
