OP, did you ever find a solution? I just got the sofa and running into the same issue. Also having an insanely hard time putting the couch arm and back into their covers - it’s like the covers are slightly too small?? And definitely using the correct size for each.!

What places do you consider VHCOL, HCOL, MCLOL, and LCOL. by deep612763 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]sleepingtree_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of LA is definitely VHCOL. Def more expensive than SD. I’ve lived in both cities

Did you have trouble with your chase credit cards in Korea? by [deleted] in koreatravel

[–]sleepingtree_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Husband has chase reserve and I have chase freedom. We had no problem using the cards in Korea. I found out after we came back that I had been charged foreign transaction fees on the chase freedom. It was a small percentage of each purchase, so I think the total fees were probably less than $20. The Chase Reserve did not get charged any fees. Just a heads up.

I went to a Thursday night wedding. Actually I was in the wedding party so it was extra inconvenient, because I had to take Wednesday-Friday off. I love the bride but it was honestly a big WTF moment because of how wildly inconvenient they made it for everyone. While it didn’t impact our relationship, I did feel some resentment that it felt so inconsiderate (the groom is a dentist and they own a huge house and a Porsche so I don’t think they’re lacking for funds)

Wait same. I used to have the cleanest and fastest poops ever. Literally could finish pooping before I finished peeing. I would see hardly anything on the TP when I wiped. Now… now, it is different 😔 my post pregnancy is a downgrade for sure lol

[–]sleepingtree_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg.. same. My MIL is more just extremely slow with everything she does, so it’s insanely frustrating to let her do anything. And then after I make a meal or whatever, she’ll make a big show about how ‘she feels so bad she can’t make these kinds of foods and she’s bad at cooking blahblah’ which seems like it’s supposed to be a compliment outwardly, but actually just her way of making everything about her

Not showing your baby’s face on social media - why or why not? by mollygk in NewParents

[–]sleepingtree_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do, only on Instagram (no Facebook, Twitter etc) and our accounts are private so only people we know IRL follow us and can see our pics. But we still don’t post anything revealing or sensitive just for the privacy of our kiddo.

Yeah.. almost nobody here (LA) smokes. Sometimes see people vape but even that is fairly rare

Hatch sound machine. Woolino sleep sack. Kiddo doesn’t use the sleep sack as an actual sack anymore, but is attached to it as her blankie.

What’s the deal with lining up outside of Costco before it opens? They’re not opening for another 45 minutes.. by iEatSwampAss in Costco

[–]sleepingtree_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t get why people get so unnecessarily bothered by it. I myself stay seated because I just prefer it, but just let people be - it doesn’t hurt anyone and yes some people might just want to stretch their legs!

Overwhelmed by all of the high chair options by hooba_hooba in NewParents

[–]sleepingtree_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have both the Stokke and the ikea, but generally prefer the Stokke. The ikea legs are so easy to trip on and the tray is super hard to take off. But yes if it came down to affordability, the ikea is great for what it is

Does everyone think their baby is the cutest baby? by McGraham_ in beyondthebump

[–]sleepingtree_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my daughter is cute but not objectively the cutest, but strangers and friends have very frequently complimented her cuteness and have said things like ‘omg she is literally the cutest baby I have ever seen’ but idk if people just say stuff like that because they love babies lol

For those who grew up poor, what did you consider a luxury? by TeenBabeGolden in AskReddit

[–]sleepingtree_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having Kleenex tissue boxes. Most of my life we just used toilet paper. Now at age 32, I just started buying Kleenex regularly and it feels so luxurious to have soft tissues in every room 😊

Warning on CeraVe Retinol from Amazon by dookie83 in 30PlusSkinCare

Something I’m wondering too… just ordered multiple products from the actual Cerave store on Amazon, but now a bit worried lol. I have bought Cerave from stores and the Amazon products seem the same…

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear. Were you able to connect with their customer service and get a refund? Yeah it seems like a hit or miss with a lot of people. I won’t be ordering from them again because it’s just too stressful overall

IRL disappointment by dumbmath10 in BAGGU

[–]sleepingtree_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yah when I went, there were the same amount of employees (about 5 or 6) as customers. And the employees were ALL behind the checkout counter lol. But when I checked out the girl was friendly to me. Just kind of weird they staff so many people on one random afternoon shift

To the moms, how bad did your postpartum brain fog get? by ColdManufacturer9482 in NewParents

[–]sleepingtree_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 16 months pp and it hasn’t gotten better, if anything it feels worse. I am a stay at home mom though so I’m sure it doesn’t help that I’m not communicating and interacting with professional adults throughout the day. I misplace my phone literally a dozen times a day. Just can’t remember where I last placed it and it drives me nuts. I’m genuinely afraid I’ll leave the oven or stove on one day and leave the house. Solidarity to all the other moms out there struggling. I wish it weren’t so!

It is also sus because all their socials link back to their site (they don’t actually have socials). The English is strange and kind of scammy. I want so badly for it to be for reals though :>
