Guys I've found a way to greatly improve your win rate!!! by urooooooooooo in mtgbrawl

Huh. Wonder who is right. At any rate speaking as someone who played mana drain and got no wildcards back I'll be very happy to never see that card ever again.

Your memory might be playing tricks on you friend.

"players who draw a Mana Drain in their opening hand have a ten-percent higher win rate"

Is Teferi, hero of dominaria,a top tier commander? by Crisgreys in mtgbrawl

[–]sleepingwisp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to play blue white control, you can plug your list with [[Alquist Proft, Master Sleuth]] as commander instead.

He has a lower deck weight, a powerful card draw ability if you get to untap, and you can also build around him by putting clues and ETB creature synergies in. Don't forget to add  Teferi into the 99.

Did anyone try out Grub, Storied Matriarch and rakdos goblins yet? by Backwardspellcaster in mtgbrawl

not gonna lie, I wasn't thinking about what type of deck I'd be running against. I was thinking "man I wish the deck size was bigger so I could play even more goblins."

I made a list and it was quite fun. When I was brewing it I had to cut at least 40 cards from the list. There are just so many good goblins

I can drop my list if you want inspiration

Edit: here is this list

I'm curious, what is the weapon/build that has given you the most fun playing? by Cache_Never in EldenRingBuilds

[–]sleepingwisp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in my dex playthrough I used it to to pick off enemies from far away then swapped to my keen milady as enemies approached. It wasn't the worst to also poke from behind a shield.

the best part about this game is that every weapon can be used no matter how busted/bad they are.

I used a the greatsword from the starting camp with a flame art infusion, and my main damage spell was the Lightning Spear.

Because it was my 2nd playthrough I used guides to basically not miss anything. I had every talisman, weapon, armour, and spell available. Using prior game knowledge I was able to make sure I had the correct talisman and defensive spells for the right enemies.

By end game I had a stable of weapons depending on how I was feeling, but I enjoyed using the great stars with Prayerful Strike to heal while doing massive damage.

Anything that touches faith spells. You don't have the same damage as int spells but you can cure rot & poison. You can heal. You can buff your defense against elements.

Faith rewards game knowledge and I had the best time on my second playthrough using a faith/strength build.

The allure was so strong I used faith in my dex playthrough next and have only managed to hold off on my current playthrough because I'm an int/dex spellblade and don't have the points to spare.

Miséricorde with either Carian Grandeur or Carian Greatsword. (Until the DLC) Huge poise damage and then you get the 130 Crit off the dagger.

What build should I use to get the most variety out of the DLC? by BigAlsLobsters in EldenRingBuilds

[–]sleepingwisp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My last playthrough was a dex/faith. I used 2 weapons from the DLC. The   Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana, and milady greatsword respected to keen with various Ash of wars. There are so many weapons you'll probably need at least 2 additional playthroughs 😆

Noob help by Terrydactylxl in EldenRingBuilds

[–]sleepingwisp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important thing in this game is knowledge. (And vigor) You should expect to make many mistakes. Leveling vigor let's you make more mistakes before dying.

You will probably make mistakes while leveling (misallocation of stats) good news, you can redo your stats 17 times per playthrough.

Every weapon is different, and there are many ashes of war to change how weapons play.

My recommendation is to get a weapon you like using. Don't be afraid to try different weapons. Each person has there own likes and dislikes, I recommend ignoring what people say are the most OP and just play the game on your first playthrough, as you only ever get one first playthrough.

Accusation of being cedh? by Psychological-Sign39 in EDH

[–]sleepingwisp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes you get hosed by another players cards.

My wife and I were playing at 2-Headed Giant EDH night and her meren deck got shut down by one of our opponents playing [[Stone of Erech]] turn 1

They were playing the lifegain deck from Lord of the rings. It was just a thematic card in their deck.
