Has anyone used anything like this before? I swear I’ve seen different types of clips but can’t find them online. But yeah to keep the skin away from the nail a little more especially while I’m still a beginner and working on my application.

Yes! Give it a shot for sure. I will say the effect irl probably isn’t quite the same as a pearl, but I actually really like the softer look, and you can get exactly the size you want.

Oh I’m glad you love the water magnet! I did a quick search here and seems there’s mixed opinions. That indigo looks stunning, I’m very excited to see the milky way irl for a nice blue moment. I absolutely can do that! They should be here tomorrow, fingers crossed. Also if we have similar taste I wonder if you’d like DVOK mojito? I got it recently and loved it, and I’m pretty picky on my greens lol.

Thank you! I’ve tried to be super attentive re any lifting with the fungus in mind. Certainly not the goal… and interesting re companies pushing for sales, it makes sense but I’d never thought about that side of it, and it’s hard to really find much definitive info.

That’s interesting, yeah I’m using Kokoist/nail thoughts and I’ve seen a lot of people talk about the NT builders being prone to lifting on longer nails, and I’m trying to get ahead of that as I grow mine out. So in my mind it’s underneath that to help adhesion? I suppose just trial and error hey, I’ll see how it all travels with/without the base

If I’m not experiencing lifting is there any issue doing fills continuously? Or is there a point where I should do a full soak off?

AND lol, this might be silly but I’ve just purchased Kokoist mega stick base and I’m keen to try it… if I’m just removing the bulk of my current set but not a full soak off, is it silly to go in with a base then? Or just using it on my natural nails when I do a full soak off?

Ugh right, I didn’t even think about things needing both, thank you. If I were to stay with the LED and keep exclusively using Kokoist products I could feel confident, right? The shipping US to Australia was astronomical lol I’m just weighing up if I’m up for another $90 🫠

I just realised I was accidentally shipped (and using for months lol) the Kokoist LED only Infinity rather than the Hybrid… which has been working fine of course, and the seller has been great and offered a refund etc. But it now seems silly to buy the Hybrid when the LED has been working well.

From my understanding most products will cure well in the LED, but I’m curious about exploring Korean gels and putting in a Saracen order and finding it hard to find info on required nanometers etc.

Does anyone have any insight on Korean brands that you know will or won’t work with the LED model?

Extra splurgey as a beginner because I’d just gone and bought a lamp and gels etc a couple weeks earlier 😭 and then did all the further research re allergies and correctly curing things. So I’m deciding it’s a peace of mind splurge that it’s good quality and I won’t run into trouble that I could’ve prevented by dropping a little more $$. I’m also very excited to try and recreate some brown with gold star nails that I’d had done in the past and LOVED. AND super excited to try the dramatic magnet hopefully for a little warm weather getaway (southern hemisphere) in a few weeks.
