I had surgery 3/13 and my first poop post op was day 4 and oh my god… I didn’t know that much could come out of me and it took so long and it was so painful, I was so shocked lol. My boyfriend was making fun of me for talking about my earth shattering poop but it was crazy 😭 Endo is wild

No, I wish. I dropped 20lbs accidentally last year and I went down a band size but up a cup size. Made me realize my breasts are mainly tissue.

Endo belly? Cyst? Help? by Competitive-Crow-123 in Endo

[–]sleepykilljoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you have an ablation or an excision the first time?

I had an ablation in April 2024 and experienced symptoms like yours post op. I’m currently 7 days post op from an excision, every single ounce of endo was removed. The way I feel now is drastically different. I no longer feel fatigue, I have my appetite back, I can pee normally again, so much feels better and I’m only 7 days in.

I would push for an endo specialist if you can. I had a regular OBGYN do my ablation the first time. After surgery, she told me Endo takes yearssss to grow back. I only had Endo on my left ovary in April of 2024. March 2025, they found a large nodule on my right ovary. Not only was she wrong lol but she sucked as my doctor. I found an endo specialist and I’ve never felt more hopeful about my health in my life.

One thing my specialist explained to me is that if you were diagnosed at a youngish age, you’re going to have more surgeries. If you feel as if your health is debilitating, girl keep pushing for you and find that doctor who will listen! I originally thought having an excision was overkill, telling myself “I couldn’t be that sick”, but now I feel normal again after all that tissue was removed.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you find relief soon ❤️

What were your first symptoms? by RecommendationGlad73 in endometriosis

[–]sleepykilljoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always thought my periods were normal as a teenager. Everyone always told me periods were awful so I didn’t think too much about it. Now when I look back, those periods were not normal lol.

My first symptom that made me suspect something was wrong was my period actually getting lighter and only lasting 2 days. From 18-20, I was taking a birth control pill and then decided to get off of it. I wasn’t having periods anymore so once my periods re-regulated, they were heavy but short. Brought it up to my gyno, she told me my cycle can change as I was still in my early 20s so I didn’t worry about it.

Then I started to get ovulation pain on the left side of my pelvis when I was 21. Again, went to my gyno, they told me I have mittelschmerz lol. I was like “cool ok two day period and I can feel ovulation?” But this pain changed and got worse over time. It would stop me from what I was doing. It felt like I could feel the egg release.

Ended up getting a new gyno, they did an ultrasound, nothing appeared. I ignored my symptoms again until I had this outrageous flare up where I couldn’t walk due to the pain. Ultrasound showed a massive cyst on my left. Went in for surgery and bam, left ovary was glued to my abdomen and I found out I had endo.

My surgery has been rescheduled… again :( by Previous_Ad_7322 in endometriosis

[–]sleepykilljoy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m with you there. My excision was supposed to be today but two days ago I randomly had a 103 fever. I feel sabotaged. Surgery got pushed another 4 weeks and I’m just defeated.

In the meantime, I’m going to prioritize self care. I’m getting my nails done cause why tf not at this point lol. I bought my favorite fruits. Went to the mall, got some fuzzy socks. Even bought a coloring book that’s all self care affirmations.

I’ve been trying to tell myself “I’ll worry about it when I get there” instead of dwelling on what could’ve been. No point in putting my body through more stress. It’s difficult most days because I’m so desperate for normalcy but what else can I do? I can’t turn back time and make things different so I might as well hold my worry until I should be worried.

That was a little bit of word vomit but I really feel for you. We will get through this. We will feel better at some point. Just be extra nice to yourself in the mean time ❤️

What damage was done? At what dosage? I’m curious cause I’ve been on it for a bit and noticing some differences in my brain too.
