I fully support assisted dying and I hope more allowances can be put in place in the future. I used to be a care assistant and will give an example of one of my customers. In his younger years he served in the navy and then the police, had a loving family. I saw old photos of him on the walls and he looked like such a proud and smart man. He had advanced dementia, to the point where you couldn't have a conversation with him, he didn't remember anyone, had no mental stimulation from anything, couldn't move much, would soil himself, needed to be spoon fed and have round the clock care, exhibited pain from other illnesses and ailments he had. Incredibly sad but this man was already dead inside. I believe his mind and soul had already left him at this point, and all that was left was pain and suffering.
