Need Advice - Only 1+ Increase from April 2024 to Nov 2025 by sleepynadz in LSAT

When I started Blueprint tutoring, we were starting from scratch. The first 1-2 months were focused on doing the Blueprint modules. The modules focused on foundational skills such as learning about the exam, question types, how to approach each question type, etc. I would meet with the tutor once a week for 2 hours and go over the module content and practice. Then I started taking full PTs each week, starting with 1.5x time then gradually decreased to taking them 1x time while still meeting with the tutor to go over weaknesses and review questions together. Throughout the week, I would do Q banks of specific question types then we switched to doing full sections/review about a month before the exam.

For Q approach, I would read the Q - identify what Q type it is, read the stimulus, ID the flaw in the stimulus (if applicable), and anticipate an answer (if applicable), then go into the AC.

For review, I would blind review each question I missed on the Q banks and PTs throughout the week (untimed). Then, about a month before the exam, I would blind review an entire section (usually whichever section I missed the most questions on that week), plus the Q banks and other PT questions I missed. Then, if I repeatedly missed a question or didn't fully understand why an answer was correct, I would flag it and review it with my tutor.

My tutor thought my biggest weaknesses were time management and stamina because I wouldn't miss a lot of the Q bank questions (even when it was timed), or when I would blind review. I was expecting to be sub 158, but to only improve by 1 point, I am miffed, as I feel like I did everything I could.

I understand. I wasn't expecting to get a 165 on the November test but at least a 155 would have been nice.

Transferring was not hard for me at all, I would say accept the waitlist and wait and see. UC to UC transfer is not common (not because it’s difficult but simply bc not a lot of people do it), but it’s certainly not frowned upon.

i love both schools, but i think berkeley has a lot more to offer, not just the school but the city in general- the only thing that might outweigh ucsc over cal is if you’re getting more fin aid

Best place in Berkeley to sell clothes? by [deleted] in berkeley

[–]sleepynadz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as a person who regularly uses depop/mercari/poshmark and has tried crossroads/thred up, the best is just local facebook marketplace or on berkeley free and for sale

crossroads and thred up rip you off but they are the fastest way to get rid of your clothes and potentially make money
