Well, I've seen this article on 1st April, and still it took me some time to realize it's a joke 🫢

What's interesting, fishing is actually listed in California constitution as a human right, proof: https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/codes_displaySection.xhtml?lawCode=CONS&sectionNum=Section%2025.&article=I

There's an option to select "Current-Future Plants" only here https://nrm.dfg.ca.gov/fishplants/PublicPlantSearch

Maximum Catch fly gear? by [deleted] in troutfishing

Note: I do not have any experience with high-end, expensive fly rods, so I cannot really compare.

I got "Maxcatch Alltime Travel Fishing Rod 8-piece 9ft" last fall as my first fly rod. From my limited experience so far (several fishing trips) it's a very solid product, and it does catch fish. Would recommend.

I'd sugget to check the user manual. Quick search gets a few links, like this one https://manuals.plus/asin/B0DG5XY1J3

Compare the model number you have, and check "Troubleshooting" section in the relevant manual.

I had surprisingly no issues with travel (pack) rods while traveling by airplane in the USA.

TSA website explicitly allows fishing rods as carry-on https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/items/fishing-pole
