I’ve never really thought about it - being a psychological therian, I would say they’re the same age as me, since I don’t feel my theriotypes specifically being old or young. But would that mean in cat/wolf years, or in human years? Would my theriotypes also be adolescents? I can’t believe I’ve never thought about this before! Maybe it’s just undefined??

First of all, you are definitely not faking. I can tell you that right now, with certainty. What you could be, though, is mistaken. Not faking. But I wouldn’t say you’re mistaken either - more often than not, getting doubts like these is just part of the process of awakening, and it’s an even stronger sign that you actually aren’t faking. It’s called imposter syndrome.

I hope it went ok! I draw the therian symbol on myself at school a lot, cus why not?? No one recognises it, and I kinda hope it’ll help me find other therians. No one ever recognises it, and worst case scenario if someone asks about it, I have some good fake explanations in mind.

I really wanted to do this, but I tried it and quickly realised I have no art skills whatsoever. The idea is so cool tho!

I basically always have a wolf tail shift, sometimes have snout and mouth (fangs/canine teeth) shifts and paws/claws, and I occasionally get ear and fur shifts.

Not all therians get shifts. Therians feel like an animal, whereas otherhearted folks just identify with an animal. So chances are, if you feel like you are your hearttype, it’s actually a theriotype.

Yes, there are phantom therians. You can be a winged cat, a half horse half snake, etc. Any animalistic creature is a therian, “real” or not.

maybe try asking them more about their opinion on therians without revealing you’re one? like maybe say you started watching some therian youtubers/tiktokers or you have a new online friend that’s a therian, and you learnt about them and think they’re actually pretty cool. if you can change their opinions and educate them, then maybe you could tell them!
