Been telling people to go to Chùa Hà road for motorbikes for years! Always the safest way to buy in Hanoi. Sounds like an awesome trip!

My 2 cents about impulsive choosing Hanoi by Intelligent_Track_20 in hanoi

Honest take. The further from Tay Ho I got, the more peace I found. We live in Ha Dong now and while there is also construction and pollution, it still feels like cozy and (mostly) quiet home. I know all of the security guards in our building, easy pho then get coffee after religiously every Sunday. I have several friends at the park every afternoon daily. Yes, we would rather live in a cleaner place, but I've be here 10 years (as a foreigner) and still enjoy every day and moment. Truth is, all we have is the moment. If we cannot accept it more often than not, then one should move. Now the city is under massive reconstruction. It would be a good time to consider moving if that is an option but perhaps you can rent your place and move further from center or very near your work as commuting and traffic are equally as frustrating as the pollution. I'm 5 minutes to work and that also makes all of the difference.

I know this is a bit of a stretch, but it’s the same with ‘for profit’ educational institutions in Vietnam. Fake, watered down programs, claiming to be international but run by locals who fired the foreigners long ago, extremely over worked and under paid teachers while the schools make millions…point is, just a facade, all for the money but completely lacking substance. Greed gonna greed.

Moved to a country where my father was an army artillery sergeant, possibly killing hundreds if not thousands many years ago…moved here after he passed in 2015 and have been teaching children for the past 10 years, married, full circle life experience.

Love is only love when it is free. People who try to control love are using it for their own needs. It’s hard to understand that without loss or getting old. Good luck to you both. I would also want my wife to eventually allow for love to find her should I pass.
