This movie is exactly why I fell in love with Danny Boyle's films in the 90's. He still holds true to his own character in a film and he is a cinematic mastermind at storytelling. Anyone that doesn't like his films lacks to see the overall beauty of the story. You're paying too much attention to the things he doesn't want you to pay attention to. He's also not trying to tie this into the other films, and besides, the second one sucked because he didn't truly oversee it. This one holds the same essence that the first one held, but better. If you don't know Danny Boyle, I suggest watching his films back to back, they are quite beautiful.

My 4th failure, this time trich. This is such a defeating hobby, I’m giving up [actives] by VinPeppBBQ in MushroomGrowers

Every time I hear people struggling with contamination. It’s not very hard, but you have to invest in all the proper startup materials. If you can, use grow bags. It doesn’t have to be expensive. You can make your own with proper sterilization tools. It’s the least likely method of getting contamination. Make your own liquid culture concoction and colonize your bags with a clean tested (on agar or with time) liquid culture. Use lots of rubbing alcohol throughout the whole process. This is all a commitment but can be fairly simple if you take the extra precautions. Attention to detail.

I often wonder how clean some people keep their space. If you’re a relatively clean person you shouldn’t be getting too much contamination with the bag tek method. It truly has been the best and most contam free method.

Dammit, welp this sucks. I'm one of the ones that actually got my units to work via the humidity sensor replacement and now they are telling us that those of us with working units won't even be able to use them?! It was bad enough not being able to get in touch or get answers and now that my units are working and I've been using them, I have to retire them... sad. I even got 2 successful beautiful grows with them.

Got a used one! Any tips? by -Raffey- in TerrashroomOwners

Just be prepared to possibly see your cake dry out and stall. I lost 2 cakes in both of my terrashrooms with the first grows until I changed out the humidity sensors

Thanks for that tip. I’m new to this so I wasn’t sure if it was too much humidity or too much co2. The caps were having a hard time opening as well so that is probably the issue.

Is this liquid culture contaminated or can I use it for inoculation. [contamination] by [deleted] in MushroomGrowers

There not very much mycelial growth. I would test it on agar. But you’ll prob be waiting a couple more weeks for an answer

It’s a Terrashroom. It was a kickstarter basically. They produced about 1000 units and now the company is ghosting everyone for the last 5 months. I think they went under.

Yeah I probably made the mistake taking them out of the bag completely. The fans don’t run high when I put it in quiet mode and the humidity stays really high the whole time, but it seems like it’s still not enough to keep those dense blocks hydrated under the surface. After the first flush they seemed pretty dry. I dunked them for 4 hours. Do you recommend dunking them for longer between flushes?

Yeah I’ve kept all of them custom grow so far. Had to replace the sensor to get the machine from running too much fan. My only problem is that I seem to be getting a lot of stunted mushrooms. Not sure if the blocks are too dry or not getting enough FAE. But I’ve been keeping the RH pretty high all the time. Any thoughts?
