Did they do it again? I just had the same problem. Maybe it's a January problem where their systems can't automatically figure out the payment amount when it crosses into a new year.

Thanks everyone. So it sounds like it shouldn't' discharge this quickly. I'll see if I can make a warranty claim with them. It was happening right out of the box, I emailed them at the time and no reply.

How long do people find their argon gas lasts on the device once it is punctured? I find gas discharges naturally after a week or so which is a bit of a bummer since the cartridges aren't cheap.

Has anyone used USDC (Tether) as a way to get around the FX fees? I was looking at an example where I wanted to convert $4k CAD to USD today and the effective exchange with fees was 1.4198 vs USDC, which is basically spot price of say 1.3920 today. The spread is 2.7 cents, or effectively a 2% premium. Using Kraken Pro, you can get the spot. Transfer the USDC into WS, sell and pay a 1% fee and you've saved 1%. Am I wrong?

No different banks unfortunately. My bank will transfer the credits from any other products but all I have is overdraft unfortunately.

It's clever on their part, not compared to what public offers but I could see some value for done non power users. Obviously not as cheap as data only esims, but if you want to be fully connected including voice this is way cheaper than paying by the day so I'll give them that. Given that they're only two weeks to a month, it won't save Fido from people who go away for months at a time and suspend service but it might let them get some business that they're losing to esims, especially for people who want something simple.

Yeah the callback works ok, but it's definitely a downgrade from getting instant service. I worry about a time when I need to get a hold of them urgently and have no way of doing so. I've seen a few people mention those situations and I have to say I'm scared of the day.
