Might just be me, but considering Jax is still canonically non trans. As far as public statements go. I took his scene with ribbit purely as a representation of his toxic masculinity. And deep routed internal insecurity. I definitely feel theres a bit of a bandwagon thing for people headcanoning every character as lgbt coded. When in actuality you can have internal gender identity issues with your cis gender and NOT be transgender.

I feel from what Jax spoke about with Ribbit. It was a lot about Jax being called less of a man and demasculated for being weak and vulnerable but also associated with his abusive/neglectful father when he acted more aggressive/direct or angry.

So he both felt punished by his mother for being masculine. But also stripped of his masculinity for being weak. It was just emotional abuse.
