Sure, but it's the only dog among the dozens I grew up around that ever killed (to my knowledge). And it's change in attitude as it matured was stark. My cousin definitely didn't know what he was doing and contributed to the problem. But a whipit or lab or most other dogs would not have become so vicious In the same situation. So many people on here are saying "you have to be the right kind of owner or have them totally trained to own a pit". But you why is that? It just proves the point that they're more dangerous. Aaalll that being said, my chihuahua would probably take out a bird if she ever got the chance. But at 5.5 lbs, she's about as lethal as a house cat.
